True story. That almost happened with the first group, off the first tee, at the first THP Invitational of 2013. Well, not the disqualification, but one dude was off somewhere and we had to wait for him. He got razzed a little bit. Someone said, "About time, McIlroy". Lol.

Someone said something about arriving Friday and leaving Monday.

I believe that the cost includes 2 nights and if people are planning for this type of schedule then another night would be required. Probably need more info from JB here as to which 2 nights are covered as a Sunday night room is much cheaper then a Friday night room and whether or not we need to arrange that ourselves.

Friday and Saturday are included with the package price.

I as well will need to figure out Sunday night accommodations.

That's what I thought as well. I figure a lot of people will stay over on Sunday as well. If I drive from NorCal then I know I will. If I fly, then probably not.

For me I doubt it. 11 hour drive back. But if a bunch of people get together.... :)

Doubt it as my flight is at noon and I expect Sunday night to get a bit crazy!
 
I figured as much on the Monday round but wanted to double check so I can plan for flights.

I think there will be roughly half who are going to be staying Sunday evening and will need to make hotel accomindations.

90 mins from San Jose. Still thinking about driving down though. It'll be handy to have my car and I'll be able to help a couple of people get to and from the course.

I am thinking the same thing. I love the convenience of the flight but I am pretty sure people are going to need a lift to the course so I might drive. Of course I can fly up and rent a car in vegas also. Lots of time to decide.

Correct. My folks live in Vegas so I'm going to stay the extra night and get a little face time with them.

In other news, airline tickets are purchased: $293 from Portland for midday Friday/Monday flights. That was way better than Alaska - my normal carrier - which was $420 + luggage.
 
I just checked Southwest for mine....$422 right now!!! man that seems high...hope the price drops

Consider purchasing the 2 flights at different times. RT was bad but bought one Wednesday and one yesterday from DFW for $250 RT total.
 
Lowest for me is still 462 plus bags

I agree with the others, keep checking. I found ridiculously reasonable airfare this morning for a family trip in June that had previously been outrageous. Just have to keep your eyes open.

Wonder why it's so much more to fly out of Houston....for that price I will drive to Dallas and fly from there.

What days are you looking at? Ours are Friday/Monday flights

Never mind, I just looked and yes out of Houston is a little high right now
