Today's round was ... (describe in one line)

Swampy.
 
A tale of 2 nines. (Very typical for me, unfortunately)

Shocking!

Much worse in every possible way....except putting which was excellent. Last week I scored 87 as I continued to lower my scores every week, but this week I was worse by 11 shots (98) and it was only thanks to my putting that I stayed below 100. Not to lay blame but my two playing partners who usually struggle to break 110 were somehow much worse than this. I think they both shot around 125 or so. After my good start on the first five (only about 3 over par) I was starting to get impatient with them and stupidly let it effect my own game.

Lost a hooked ball on the sixth and never recovered my composure for long enough to finish a hole. A blinding par 3 tee shot would be followed by a 3 putt, or a great tee shot would then lead to a fat shot from 150 yards that rolled limply into the greenside bunker.

Frustrating and embarrassing. I hit two fairways and could not hit a wedge to save my life.
 
Challenging on front but rewarding on the back.
