Part-Time Sasquatch
Hello, fellow hackers!
I belong here for two reasons. One, I love golf. Two, I'm a security specialist, and I deal with the *other* type of hackers every day
I'm a high handicapper who just recently got back into golf. My biggest motivation for picking up the clubs after almost 10 years of not playing is to spend more time with my old man. He's in his 60s, and golf is one of the few things I can get him out and active for. My old set was getting pretty crusty, so last year I found a killer deal and picked up a starter set of Adams Tight Lies +1 length (I'm 6'6"). Since then I've replaced the Driver, 3W, and putter. I've regripped everything to fit my ape hands . Today I also found a 4H on these very forums that matches my new Adams Super S driver and 3W. Pretty excited about that!
10 years ago I shot regularly in the 90s, right now I'm shooting a 105 average. Working on getting back into double digits... it's a fun journey to say the least. Quick plug for a course I just discovered. I'm sure anyone around here already knows about it... but if you're ever traveling to East Texas and want to play an extremely beautiful course with some great design cues and tough greens - check out Twin Lakes in Canton, TX. I played a round there this past Saturday. While I've not played a ton of courses, this was easily the prettiest I've ever set foot on.
Looking forward to being a part of THP for a long time
Josh
