This is a press release

Sun Mountain's newest lightweight golf stand bag is the Front 9. Harkening back some 30 years to the name of one of Sun Mountain's first bags, Front 9 is a compact, lightweight stand bag for the walking golfer. Efficiently-sized, yet big enough to carry a full set of clubs, a handful of balls and a rain suit, Front 9 has a new 8.5" oval top with a flared opening. Front 9 has three, full-length club dividers, six pockets, and uses the X-Strap® Dual Strap System. Front 9 is available now in men's and women's styles with a retail price of $169.99.

Weighing only 3.8 lbs., Front 9 is extremely lightweight. Yet, with the newly designed 8.5" oval top, the bag can easily accommodate a full set of 14 clubs. Add in the latest innovation of a flared opening and getting the clubs in and out of the bag is a cinch. Front 9 also incorporates the Sun Mountain-invented, now industry-standard, integrated lift assist handle to make picking the bag up and setting it down easier than ever.

One could call the bag "small", but that might leave the wrong impression. Efficiently sized is maybe the better description since along with holding a full set of clubs, Front 9 offers six pockets including a beverage pouch, velour-lined valuables pocket, full-length clothing pocket and accessory pockets.

Front 9 incorporates the Sun Mountain X-Strap® Dual Strap System which provides a balanced, easy carry and works well as a double strap, or as a single strap for those shorter carries.

Front 9 includes all of the advancements one expects from a Sun Mountain golf bag: patented roller bottom leg mechanism, high-tensile aluminum legs, full-length club dividers, lumbar support hip pad, umbrella attachment, towel holder, top-mounted leg mechanism for added stability, pen holder, leg lock system so it's easier to use on riding carts, and a coordinating rainhood.

That is a sharp looking bag.

Nice looking bag. Looks like an update of the Swift X I have used for a couple of years.

This bag has my full attention as I love my current Sun Mountain bag, but it's starting to show some wear and tear. I realize this is a press release, but I'd love to see some more photos if you ever get this bag in hand, especially of the top of the bag. The light weight of this bag really appeals to me because I walk most of my spring/summer rounds up here.

The 3.8 lbs is what really interests me. I've been pondering a lightweight stand bag for my travel needs compared to my cart bag.

Sharp looking bag...and super light...solid

Under 4 pounds is just silly, looks like a very solid bag for those that walk & carry.

One of the better styled bags I have seen from SM and uber light, that's a good combo

That thing is pretty slick looking, and light!

I like the sounds of the weight of this bag, however the 8.5 oval neck has me a little concerned. I'd be interested to see how the flaring helps with getting clubs in and out of the bag.

Love my Sun Mountain bag. Can't wait to see some more pics. I've started walking more lately, so I'm in the market for a new carry bag.

Light, yet still 8.5 top? Perfection.

I'm a big fan of SM bags and this one looks to be a good one. I primarily walk so I will be taking a serious look at this one

JB. I know Most Titleist bags are based and made from Sun Mountain. Is the new Titleist Ultra Lite based on this?

Good looking bag, I like the minimalist style.

It almost has a THP green tint to it, I like!

Nice looking bag

Im very interested in this bag, but I am not sure I dig the layout of the top. Seems to me that three parallel dividers would have worked better then the configuration this has.

Sweet! My mini bag predates the Swift X and the zippers are starting to go.

Light and snappy. Sounds like a winner.

Superlight and one of my favorite colors, looks good.
