He was projected higher than Johnny in half the mocks out there.
 
That was fun. Loved the buildup for Johnny Football only for them to go Gilbert and all the boos. Good stuff.

Gilbert is a great player. Pettine had some impact on this pick big time. In his d he requires his cbs to play a ton of 1 on 1 this pick will allow them to do that. I think it is much better than taking any qb at this point.
 
I'm glad it wasn't johnny but trading back for defense seems counter productive.

But I guess we will see what they do next year with the pick...again

Sure is. They could be incredible.
Time will tell, but I love the way they it worked out and got another 1st rounder out of it.
Maybe to please the Browns fans, they can pick back up Trent Richardson, because they hated losing him.
 
Bad news for me that's the first guy I didn't have the top 15... Just sayin

Gilbert was a stud, a very opportunistic CB. Not a big name for a lot of folks who were hoping browns would take a playmaker. Their offensive woes will continues, unless they make some solid moves in later rounds.
