I agree, but the similar play on the sideline when US gets all ball, it is called a free kick for Mexico. If you call one, call the other.
 
Can I take back my defense of the ref earlier... would love to see clear and obvious explained here

Catching up on the extended highlight now. Wow the US set pieces were a nightmare for Mexico!
 
The Mexico fans had the only performance more disgraceful than the referee. Did he lose control of the game at all?
