I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking here for a few weeks and decided to sign up. I tried golf a few times roughly 20 years ago as a kid and hated it because I had no idea what I was doing. Now I'm in a position to play scramble tournaments fairly regularly for benefits and wanted to learn how to play. I started around 6 weeks ago and am really enjoying it. I've taken a total of 6 lessons and have played less than 10 times - a few at a small par 3 course, several 9 hole rounds, and two 18 hole rounds. The 9/18 hole rounds were all played at the same place, and it is known as a course for beginners. My scores on the two 18 hole rounds were 110 and 103. I'm sure I'd be worse on more typical courses, but would like to shoot under 100 in the near future.
