My one time in Orlando (August) I basically just chugged a lot of Pedialyte and just tried to

But seriously.... Pedialyte is a fantastic option

Or even better just stay hydrated! I drink 100 ounces of water a day.

It's good to use to wipe your face and hands to keep cool and helps cool the body down a bit. You can put on your head or around your neck between shots and it will definitely help. It also helps to keep your hands dry. Your hands sweat because they are hot, if you cool them off before the shot, they will be dry.

Give it a try sometime, doesn't cost anything.
I keep a hand towel in a little ice chest, with iced leverages. I dip it in the cold water, wring it out and wipe on my neck and face.

I just wear rain gloves on both hands, drink a ton of water/gatorade, and then bitch about the heat as often as possible.

Stay in the shade whenever possible, hopefully with some breeze. I wear a breathable light-colored shirt and a hat with a brim. The ice-cold towel works great. Hydrate early and often and save the “pops” for the 19th hole!

Enjoy the empty course! I don't like the wet towel thing as it washes off the sunscreen. I'll wear sunsleeves, broad brimmed hat and keep drinking fluid. Don't mind the sweat at all. Makes golf seem like "real" exercise.

Every couple of holes I say "Nice day today!" then laugh loudly at myself.

But all that works up a sweat so I find a shady spot and sit down for a while.

    Yes.

    Don't.

I hate muggy weather. But if you have to, as most have said, stay hydrated. If you don't feel like you have to pee, you are probably dehydrated.
Always remember, the same country that invented golf and called it a game, invented bag pipes and called it music.

I'll 2nd the straw hats... good shade, yet since they sit up on your head they let more airflow get around your dome...

I like the microfiber cooling towels as well. Also I like to freeze a soaked cotton towel the night before and bust it out after the turn.

In Houston, cord grips are the way to go. Lots of water (with your beer), OFF mosquito repellent and sunscreen are good ideas too. I grew up playing in Orlando and Houston, and learned early on to play without a glove. It's just too hard to keep a glove dry on the course, and supple enough to play again after a round.

As crazy as it sounds, drink a few cups of chicken broth before you play. The sodium and nutrients help fight fatigue. Stay away from Gatorade. It is loaded with sugar. You need to replenish your sodium and electrolyte levels. You drink a few scoops a day of the stuff pictured.

Wait - you went straight whiskey before our RTJ rounds. That’s not the correct protocol??

It wasn't hot. All the rain cooled things off. Vodka and Gatorade is uber hydration!
