Jim Furyk to TaylorMade Golf

Jim Furyk is known as a guy that tinkers with his equipment a little bit. Well, the tinkering is about to begin a little more. THP has learned that Jim Furyk has signed a deal with TaylorMade Golf for the 2011 golf season.

The complete details of the deal are not known as of yet, but what we do know is that he will definitely be playing the TaylorMade Penta golf ball. The deal will revolve around the driver and the golf ball and possibly include a hat or bag. As of right now, he will continue with his Srixon irons. More details as we get them.

  • Very very interesting! Did any of you see this coming? I certainly didn’t. Maybe I should have been paying more attention. To me, that says a lot about the Penta regardless of money.

  • interesting, I mean he was already using a Taylormade Driver.

  • Shocked by this news.

  • Doesn’t he already wear adidas apparel and shoes? The switch to TM gear isn’t a big one by those standards IMO.

  • This comes as a huge surprise, but I can’t say that it doesn’t make sense I guess.

  • I knew he had hit TM Drivers recently. So, I’m not that suprised!

  • Interesting considering the season he just had.

  • […] days after learning that Srixon staff member Jim Furyk will be leaving Srixon and heading to TaylorMade, THP has confirmed that 2010 European Tour Co-Player of the Year Graeme McDowell has signed a deal […]

  • […] The Hacker’s Paradise has been all over these stories and has broken a couple of them. The first player of note that will be changing sponsors is the PGA Player of the Year, Jim Furyk. Furyk has long been in a small group of players that call Srixon their home. No longer, at least for his golf ball. Furyk will be moving into the Taylor Made-adidas camp. The full details of the deal are not yet public, but Furyk will be playing the Taylor Made Penta golf ball (same as me, it’s awesome), along with playing a TM driver. Possibly, there could be a hat and bag deal involved, but more information is not available as of now. For the time being, Furyk will stick with his Srixon irons. […]

  • I always thought of Taylormade as a younger brand. Shocked to see Furyk go to them. Who doesn’t love their drivers, but I love their Penta TP ball & maybe now that the FedEX champ and Player of the Year is playing them they will get more attention.

  • Jim will be wearing Hawke & Co apparel as he has been for the past 3 years.
