The question comes up all the time. Why should I put my shoes in a shoe bag? The answer is twofold really. First, because the shoe bag creates shade for the shoes, and in doing so, the quality is preserved. Second, because both shoes and automobiles cost a lot of money, you can keep both in better condition for a small investment in a product like the one being highlighted here.
The OGIO Shoester
The Ogio Shoester Bag features a carbon-based, anti-microbial interior and can be hosed out or wiped clean. Vents allow shoes to air out, and an exterior zippered pocket provides additional storage.
The OGIO Shoester keeps your shoes separate from the rest of your gear, while providing ventilation to allow them to dry after a day on the links. It features an easy-access main compartment, as well as a zippered pocket for small accessories. Carry it in-hand with the padded grip, or use the hanging loop to sling it from your duffel or travel bag.
Colors Available
Acid – Neon Green/Yellow & Black
Black – All black
Madrid – Red with Gray & Black accents
Using the OGIO Shoester for travels in the THP Tour Van has been wonderful. After a round of golf, drop the shoes in the bag and the back area that holds clubs and golf shoes has remained clean. After the trip, open the shoe bag, hose it down and let it dry.
Cost – $39.99

Recommended – Highly for those that travel to play golf and almost as highly for everybody else.
A small investment like this will make you wonder how you lived without it for so long.
I could definitely see the use for one (or 5) when making golf trips as I hate getting grass/dirt, etc into the back of the car dirtying everything else up.
I saw carbon fiber mentioned for the inside….is this a hard outer shell where it would not be crushed/compressed if something was laid on top of it?
I think I have found my next shoe bag. I have them and use them on the regular. Thanks for bringing thIs to the masses JB.
Interesting. I’ve used a Nike shoe bag for years, but nothing this nice. The fact you can wash out the inside and wipe it down is very cool. My Nike one has all kinds of dried mud and leaves on the inside. I may have to check one of these out when I order my Ogio travel bag.
Great review, JB! When I had the pickup, I didn’t use one, as the shoes just went in the bed of the truck. Switching to a car, or was time to bust out the old shoe bag. I’m definitely in the market for a new one, and this one looks solid.
I used to have one, but it became more of a hassle than it was worth because it just had a zipper down the middle. It got pretty dirty and was hard to clean as well. This one looks to have considered both of those things in its design. Price seems reasonable as well.
I have a shoe bag somewhere but I don’t use it regularly, after having a look at these I’m starting to change my thinking!
Great review, I have been thinking of getting a shoe bag for a while and really love the Ogio stuff I have for work, I’ve had a computer bag for 8 years and it looks nearly new!
I don’t use a shoe bag, but my brother in law does. It’s just something I’ve never really thought about. I doubt I would use one for around town, but it would be nice for out of town trips.
Never have used a shoe bag. But, I need to. I’m tired of grass/mud in the back of the car. I like how this one is easily “hosed out” or “wiped clean”. Previous versions I have seen had a felt or cloth like lining required a washer/dryer cleaning.
Looks to be a great product.
Always a must have for keeping shoes in good nick
I need a new shoe bag. It looks very nice. I also like the mesh venting to let the shoes dry out. I also keep a spare pair of socks in my shoe bag, so the extra pocket is nice.
I use 5 shoe bags regularly but this Ogio shoe bag just blows those away. This is certainly a quality offering from Ogio.
I love keeping my golf shoes in a shoe bag. All the ones I have I got at tournaments. This seems like a nice one, might be time to get a go-to one
