The PING G425 driver just hit the USGA conforming list. You will start to hear news about the product line, mostly the driver as irons won’t be on there, but it will be a full line. To start with, here is what we can say. The G425 driver is made up of three models.
MAX
LST
SFT
The major story for driver will be a re-engineered CG shifter (weight movement) and a larger difference between the three models than the G410. For irons will be HydroPearl Consistency and multimaterial badge for feel.
These products (the full line) will then officially be released in Japan the following week. Shortly thereafter the full line will be released in AUS. They will NOT be released in N. America and PING will have no mention of them on their websites or marketing until embargo late into 2020, with a release date of 2021.
Those countries will have the lines listed on their websites at launch time (for Japan, it will next week and AUS the week after that). Speaking with the company over the last month, they have no official statement on the release currently, but do understand that as items hit the international PING sites, that messaging and images will appear.
I’m sure they have a good reason for not releasing, but I can’t believe it.
Especially considering the position that Ping had established themselves with in the Driver space. Since G400 they have had some impressive products.
It’ll be the Max Plus!

This is the ONLY possible explanation that makes any sense.
Of course when I wanted to get into some PING lol.
That would be my thinking. Its a 4 week wait on a line of clubs that have been out for a year and half right now. I hear it is even longer on the G710 irons that just launched right before the pandemic hit. I don’t see how they can keep up with the amount of people who want the new shiny thing right now. If this is the case there will be unhappy people no matter what they do.

I hope the new shiny things get away from the black finish. $1800 CDN (non steel shafts) for a finish on the 710 that I expect is iffy to look good afterr even one season iis a no-go thought for me.

yeah the black iron thing never grew on me because they always show wear quickly. However people criticized the G700 I have now for the same thing and I think mine look fine. I’ve had them almost a year now. A little more expensive than I wanted to spend but they’ve become the best irons I’ve ever owned after a few failed experiments. I just don’t like the really shiny chrome. One flash of a reflection from anything with shiny chrome that hits me just right can trigger a migraine or cluster headache for me.
No sir. You could possibly make the case that Cleveland Srixon XXIO is currently but they have just released a number of products with more coming.
i thought g410 inventory was low?
Where? I can’t find any around here. The Ping racks are virtually bare in all the shops around here. The giant Ping rack at the new PGASS has nothing more than a couple of stock drivers and a few hybrids and fairways. They might have more G400 in stock than G410.
I’ve long been one of the penultimate PING fanboys here for going on a decade, but this is just stupid.
I’m sure Ping will read this and reconsider.
seems more like 120 days or so
PING has not set anything in regards to this. They would have to be from those areas, and acquire the club that way, but that is it.
That makes sense.
