First up, the people:
@Carolina Dundee
My roommate for the first stretch of the trip, and I’m thankful I got a chance to play with him a few times. If you are from his neck of the woods and you haven’t played golf with him, you need to. A great guy both on and off the course, he had me rolling with laughter multiple times. Generous to a fault, easy to talk to, and someday I will have soft hands like yours around the greens and bunkers. For a guy who hasn’t played a ton of golf so far this year, you sure didn’t look it on Tuesday.
@Wildcat4life
The rumors are true. Smiles and laughs come pretty easy for the cat, and if you’re not joining him, there’s something wrong with you. A blast to hang out with, took care of a ton of planning and logistics for us and kept the party rolling. I appreciate the gratis personal stylist services, and it was a pleasure playing golf with you. No matter the result of the shot before, I watched you battle and make the best result you could on the hole – it’s a trait I hope to take to my game this year. Watching you rip that 3i on the range was something else, lean into that thing this year and let it terrorize some golf courses.
@Scooby45
I was bummed that you couldn’t join us earlier, but when you could, it continued a run of me meeting great guys from Ohio. I appreciate your reasons for the later arrival, and it shows that your priorities are in the right place. It was a lot of fun watching you play golf, I have no doubts you’re going to meet and surpass your goal for the year, and I hope that at some point I can have your tempo. You are so relaxed over the ball, you were never in a hurry, and that gap wedge on Monday was fun to watch ?.
@jazi95
The best dressed of the bunch ?. I am very happy I got the chance to play with you a few times on this trip, you are a great guy to chop it up with, and you have a ton of promise in your game. I was in your shoes last year on this trip as a higher cap and I hope that this lights the fire for you as it did for me. You are going to have a great season this year with those new irons, you hit some great shots with them, and never seemed to let the bad ones shake you too much. This season I hope I can bring that poise and attitude to the golf course. You are truly passionate about this game, and you did a great job on the updates and posting during the event.
@EdelBlake
The future of Edel golf looks very bright with people like you working there. Passionate, intelligent, funny, and had a depth of knowledge about the game and gear that was awesome to be around. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my 10,000 questions, and being so open and transparent about the company and industry. It was a lot of fun watching you compete, you have a passion for the game that makes you a great fit for this place, and I hope many THPers get a chance to play and interact with you. You hit some bombs on Monday, and that clutch putt on the 9th green was awesome. I want to compete with that same fire this year. Thank you for what you do for this community ?.
@Ryanr760
Could not have asked for a better half of the R&R Express. I had a feeling from our group chat that we would probably get along, and meeting up with you and playing the practice round confirmed it. Relaxed, casual, hilarious, and another guy that said yes to everything on the trip. Your current handicap is not indicative of how you play golf, it will be dropping considerably this year – you have a great swing, and that combo set could easily be a full set of Pros. I might have to come down to the PNW for a putting lesson, and I’ll definitely be making a trip out to AZ in the future so we can play again. Thanks for being a great partner and for bailing me out a few times on Monday ?.
@JB
We done it again Cap. I still haven’t had a chance to play golf with you, but would like to change that at some point in the future. Last year you helped me out quite a bit getting the nerves settled down during the last few holes, and I thought about that a few times during the season when I started getting a little quick. I appreciate the kind words and compliments about the work I’ve put in on my swing, it means an awful lot to me to be recognized for it. You make those dinners a ton of fun with stories and laughs, and the food choices are incredible. The sacrifice you and @GolferGal make for people is something special, and I hope that at some point I can be as generous with my time and efforts as you two are. Thank you for everything, I am grateful for this place and hope that I can do right by it and keep the attitude of community and goodwill going.
I probably could have said a lot more as this was a great group of people. I’m happy I got the opportunity to meet up with another bunch of THPers, and hope to do so again in the near future.
And by this weekend I mean mid-week ?
@Scooby45 – heel
@jazi95 – heel
@Carolina Dundee – center
@ryang13 – center
@Ryanr760 – center
@Wildcat4life – toe
So 2 heel, 3 center, 1 toe
I will get back through the guesses to find the winner.
While several folks got the totals correct, they both correctly identified 4 of the 6 locations for each Quest Cupper.
Please shoot me a DM with your address so we can get your prize out to you.
That’s awesome! Thank you! And congrats to @Muchmore18 as well!
It was a blast following along. The irons look amazing and Edel Golf should be on the map for a lot of people. I can’t wait to get to Briggs Ranch!
Wow I completely forgot about this! Fun surprise this morning!! Thank you to you and the rest of the guys for a fantastic follow!
congrats to you as well @odom730 !
Hope you all enjoy!
Maybe set Labour Day as the deadline?
What say you @jazi95 @Carolina Dundee @Wildcat4life @Ryanr760 @ryang13
I’m aiming to pitch in at least 2.8 toward the count ?.
Give me 1.0
I think your selling yourself short.
If I hit more than 1 fairway on Saturday I might be more aggressive.
Lobor day is when golf starts to get good here but if that’s what works I’m in.
We are invited for fall golf right?
Another short seller. I watched you hit those irons and putt dude.
It’s not always that solid
We have a reputation to uphold ?
With new Edel irons, let’s do this!
open invitation to NC for you
open invitation for any of the R&R express or @jazi95 here. @Wildcat4life already had one

He must be a model
Nah, looks like a professional ax thrower to me ?
Guy can probably toss a horseshoe too.
Something like that…
He at least knows which direction to stand to throw said horseshoes
When @Wildcat4life shouted “You idiots!” I’ll never forget ?
