As I have gotten wiser (read: older) there are certain things in life which I appreciate much more now than in the past. For example, I am far more focused on quality now than I ever used to be, I want something that can age with me and not have to be replaced constantly. Another thing is versatility in a product, the ability to do more than one thing means less clutter which sounds amazing.
In golf and travel, it is excruciatingly easy to accumulate a plethora of bags, for clothing, carry-on, golf clubs, or any other number of things. What happens to those things when you aren’t traveling? They get stored and take up an excessive amount of space. That is what makes the new Stitch MUT so fascinating.
The Stitch MUT
Alright, yes, MUT stands for something. If you guessed “Multi-Use Traveler” then congratulations, you win.
Stitch has found a niche in travel gear where they are not just innovating, they are excelling. If you are a regular on the THP Community, then you have no doubt seen the love for their Ultimate Garment Bag which is nothing short of ingenious. That same ease of use and effectiveness is also present here in the new MUT but taken up a notch or ten.
One thing the brand hangs its hat on is creating things which blend fashion and form into one to create a travel experience. The Multi-Use Travel bag checks all those boxes and then some. Using the company’s water and stain resistant materials, the MUT is at first glance a clean looking duffle bag. The storage in it is practicality at its finest, it is of course TSA approved and will fit in overhead storage bins. There are also two internal pockets for more storage. You can fit what you need in this duffle.
But what if you need to fit your clubs?
Clubs? In a duffle? Well, sort of. You see, a single zipper is all that separates the MUT from being a full-fledged travel bag. No more having to climb in the attic to get down your travel case. By unzipping the base of the bag, it expands into a full-fledge soft sided bag that still utilizes the same rollers and fully extendable handle as when the MUT is in its duffle form. Additionally, the Multi-Use Traveler will come with a torsion bar to implement when it is in golf club carrying mode to ensure more protection.
Like I said, Stitch certainly seems to be on a roll right now, this kind of outside the box innovation is sure to turn some heads. The MUT will be available today and come in at $498.00. What do you think? Has Stitch again taken golf travel gear to a different level? Jump in and let us know either on the THP Community or in the comments below!

I bet they sell a bunch of these, cool product.
Any time a travel cover is in play, you do have to wonder a bit for sure. Based on my how Ultimate Garment Bag from them has held up over the last few years, I would say it should do pretty darn well.
I want my carryon to be small and light #1.
This seems to compromise both.
Does it?
Impossible to say without seeing on hand. But hard to figure how it doesn’t.
How does the full handle attach to the golf bag when it’s extended though so it doesn’t just flop over? Are there clips or slips on the back that you can secure it when you pull it fully out? I would worry about the handle getting too telescoped (is that a phrase?) where it wouldn’t be sturdy when you are doing the golf bag portion of it.
Does the golf cover have 2 or 4 wheels?
As I get older I not only appreciate well made stuff but I also appreciate minimal design and multi-use items. I want less stuff but I want the stuff I do have to be outstanding quality that I can use a few different ways.
It’s out of my range for how I carry on (usually a shoulder strap bag), and the pricetag, but I respect it.
Had no idea what MUT stood for, but it makes good sense
I have a soft sided golf travel bag, it rolls up into a form smaller than a carryon bag for storage.
I have many carryon bags. All with 4 swivel wheels which is much easier to get around the airport.
I just can’t see myself using this bag when not travelling with golf clubs. The durability would have to be vastly superior to other golf travel bags on the market to justify the cost here.
I read they are opening a store in Dallas. Wish they had one near their NC office. This would be an item I would want to see before I bought one. I understand the thought that it might not be great at both functions. Their ideas are out of the box and they charge for the innovation. I guess in this case it’s in the box. LOL
It’s not for looks and convenience for me, it’s for protection. It’s the bag handlers that I worry about. Even the extra padding, stiff arm, and other protective items I add around the clubs in a dedicated club travel bag still get concerned. This wouldn’t even get a second thought.
I’m not the intended market for this, but I do think it’s pretty cool.
Overall I think you can find a better travel bag for cheaper or a better carry on for cheaper.
Like some have mentioned already if you do use the MUT as a golf travel bag then you will still need other luggage now for a weekend getaway or golf specific trip
Weight of the bag as a carryon? kudos to the concept, but not needed in my day to day.
This was kind of my thought also. I do like it and may get one but you still need two bags for a golf trip.
Just saw that each purchase includes a torsion bar… doesn’t make it cheap, but definitely helps.
I 1000% will get one. It’s a must have for me.
This right here tells me I would not use it for my travels. I have to slide the clubs into the opening on top. I think the duffel is a nice idea and agree about the shoes but as a golf travel bag I don’t like it.

Probably right in that it may not be geared towards the heavy traveler for clubs.
In the video it looks like Brad is using the SL2 which is a decent full size stand bag-the size of any other quality stand bag. Doesn’t seem to have a problem loading it up.How many golfers travel with a staff bag or big cart bag?
