Being in the middle of release season has THPers anxious to find out what is new, what is coming and what might end up in their bags. Which brand has you most excited to test out their wares?
While many of the brands are not out as of yet, there is a certain buzz in the air around this time of year. Is their anybody you look forward to hearing more from each year?
After listening to Yags and Jose at the MC, the new equipment sounds amazing!!
Couldn’t be happier to see these posts. Austin and his guys are working really hard on this part. I know the clubs get all the oooo and ahhhhs but these will deserve recognition as well!
But for stuff I’m in the dark about, I’ll be really interested to see Cobra’s lineup. See if they evolve their putter lines. New FTs will be a huge talking point as well. And then as much as I HATE the look of it, I wouldn’t be #lunaticfringe if I wasn’t at least curious about the Stealth driver. My bag is absolutely set for the year but I love club talk!
Interested to see the real world reviews of the new TM drivers – speaking with a friend last night, their instructor has apparently hit them and is recommending all his students get fit for them as he claims they are amazing. But he could just be a shill.
Callaway
Mizuno
Cobra
Srixon/Cleveland
Odyssey/Toulon
The driver and FW have me excited to try.
I need a true putter fitting. That won’t happen until after the new Odyssey’s are released.
And whomever has a lefty 7W with around 21* of loft that’s maybe 3 or 4 releases old. and maybe a 5W.
really all of them excite me. can the release them
Odyssey and Toulon for the new putters. Hoping for a 7S with a top line.
Mizuno for 223 and T22 wedges.
Bridgestone for the new XS ball.
Cameron for new Phantom mallets. Hoping for a 11.5 with jet neck or H21 with top line.
bridgestone and callaway balls
resisting to list the others as I’m really happy with current club options
Vokey wedges
Cobra woods
When it does come out, I’ll be excited to see the similarities and differences to my redacted prototype.
Mizuno – there is more to come from them that I am excited about.
Cobra – They are a big time sleeper.
Cleveland wedges – We will see something updated from them.
Vokey wedges – even though I have never been a Vokey guy. I still know they are kinda the gold standard. I didnt like the SM8s but still curious in what is to come.
Taylormade – I mean you have to be at least curious right?
Callaway – See Taylormade
I need a new bag.. I am hoping someone does something good with bags..
Cobra because the ? is coming.
Mizuno because the WHOLE lineup is going to be ? driver to putter.
Balls – Bridgestone
Driver – Callaway & Cobra
Irons – Mizuno
I mean, I don’t hate one single club that I have in my bag right now, but there’s no telling what will catch my eye and become the object(s) of my desire! Being a big Callaway fan, I’m definitely watching everything they release this year first and foremost.
And I’d love for Seemore to expand their putter line (or even bring back options from the past).
Dark horse candidate – Wilson/Staff. I want to see if they have an improved LaunchPad release, plus I think this would be a potential D9 forged release year.
Cleveland just launched a pretty extensive line, so I am not sure you will be seeing anything else from them.
Yes, that’s what I was referring to – getting a chance to test them out (I haven’t been able to do so yet) and see if they might have a shot at my bag in 2022
The wood lineup for next season is unbelievable. I tried almost all of last years models (TSi3, Sim2, Epic Max LS, Radspeed) when I was in the market for a driver, and the new Callaway blew them out of the water. The look and feel are phenomenal and the performance is unmatched. The putters are so good too. If you’re a fan of blade putters, look into some of the protos that have been seen on tour. Someone might have already won with one of them. If you’re a fan of the Ten, I think you’re going to be a fan of the new mallet. I can’t say why, but the feel is a classic that a lot of people have loved over the years! The Toulons speak for themselves, and this year, they will have options for everyone’s eye! We’ve talked a lot about the new Chrome Soft line already, but this just puts the cherry on top!!
Mizuno and Callaway would come right in behind Cobra. Lots to look forward to.
also the only other thing I would want is SM9s
Callaway for woods
Without considering that inside info, Titleist has me the most intrigued right now
None, really. I havent seen any new releases that have made me feel like I need to rush out and try them when I get the chance. ???? Its kind of sad, really. Id love to be excited about some new releases but it seems like the last few years equipment is just kind of blah for me.
