Gloves in golf are pretty utilitarian. They serve a purpose and for the most part do so with very little in the way of design. Most sport the logo of your favorite company and there are certainly options that offer more function than others, but generally speaking there is little thought of from the aesthetics side of things.
Asher Golf is not a new name, but yet one that might have slipped passed you. The brand was born with the idea that golfers cared about how they look on the course. Nice shorts or pants, polo shirt, clean shoes and then that bland dried out crusty glove just wouldn’t cut it.
The idea was real and the belief was that the golf world needed a high quality option that added a little fashion to the mix. Not fashion over function, but fashion and function in a price tag that mirrored the competition’s plain white alternative.
The first time we met the company, they asked us something that hit home. “Think back to the time you were grabbing a new glove from an absolute sea of white gloves in thin packages, what made one stand out from the other?”.
Good question, and Asher Golf seems to have figured it out. Over the last few years, the brand has expanded into other items such as clothing and accessories, but their mark is the glove and they have options in a number of price ranges and more styles than you can imagine.
You want colors? Sure, Asher has many to choose from. Do you like skulls or skeletons? Check out the Death Grip Model (image below) which is a fun play on words. Want to add some style without breaking the bank? Their Chuck line is very inexpensive and has some unique looks to boot.
Trying them out, we got a chance to sample their Premium Collection. High end, cut from a single piece of AAA Cabretta Leather and a fit that is exactly what you want in a glove. Speaking of fit, their gloves run true to size, so if shopping now, keep your regular sizing in mind.
The three things we get most requested about golf gloves are simple.
- How does it fit?
- Tell me about the durability?
- Price?
We tackled number one in the paragraph above. Number three is a pretty easy one. They have gloves starting at barely over $10. We can expand on durability a bit now. Is there something to Asher gloves that make them more durable than other options? In a word, no, but they aren’t less durable either. In fact over the years, I have tested a lot of gloves and each of the Asher lines has held up to the competition quite well.
With more than a handful of different lines and a new one dropping shortly, Asher does have something for just about everybody. From the NBA to a skeleton look and everything in between. I am partial to the Alta 2.0 (above) personally, but strictly based on the look and how well it contrasts, but also for just how different it is.

They’re PLUSH too. I’m super impressed with how thick the leather is.
Great feedback Mike
How has the glove held up since July?
I’m super impressed with how they keep churning out some really cool stuff.
unfortunately I lost that one after a few rounds but it was holding up pretty good. After some use it stretched out a little more than I cared for so I bought the Tonal Collection in a size M and they’ve been great.
Would say going down a size in these if you’re used to the M/L in other brands?
The L I have are 100% true to size.
Im a M/L user in Cuater and Puma and use M in these and they are a tiny bit tight at first and then fit me perfectly. I think @Jman is right about it being true to size, but with them being plush, I think they give a bit.
It took me aback just how plush they are. Pretty killer and for me at least makes the bang for the buck more impressive.
Really depends on how you like your gloves to fit. I prefer mine a little snug and not much room at the fingertips. The M once I’ve used them a couple of rounds fit like previous M/L that I’ve had

How dare they release these before THP’s Secret Santa announcement!
f**k me $90 for the BOX?
They’re just killer. The thickness is just right, and worth EVERY single penny.
That seems about right, no?
$22.50 per glove on a limited edition.
The reason I went M was because how they fit after a couple of rounds. Like you I’m usually a M/L, but went M in these and I am happy.
Ah four in the box is easier to stomach
I’m out bought some shafts instead ? that are LE
?
Oh wait. I think there are only 3 in the box.
$30 for a glove is pricey if all three gloves last a season that’s a solid investment
I definitely won’t knock the looks as they are great looking gloves and give you some extra flair if you want in
So other than the fact that I got a black chuck instead of the non-premium death grip (already reached out to their CS, I’m sure it’ll resolve itself) these gloves seem pretty nice. They all fit great and definitely have a premium feel to them. Will be throwing a couple in the bag for my next round.
That glove on the right is bouncing around in my brain hahaha – such a great color.
I put a new glove in play and I put three rounds on it. It looks good and no issues so far. I’ll keep tabs and take a picture if I experience the same thing with the one I put in play. I’m hoping this one holds up better because at this price point I expected more durability.
Was the one that tore from the chuck line or the premium line?
it was part of the Tonal collection. Premium according to the package
yikes, they should absolutely be more durable than that.
Was cranky about the Masters gloves but ordered the tonal set anyways.
Dry fitting they are the best fitting gloves I’ve ever owned. Hope it translates to the course.
Fortunately I was able to return for a full refund. Could not recommend for this reason.
Curious how that middle color glove holds up for you. That is the one that had durability issues for me.
I didn’t even think of requesting a refund. I should have kept mine and did this.
ooo, really liking that white/saddle combo. mixed on the mahogany. hard pass on aggie glove. ?
I have one more so will switch to it and monitor. Maybe it’s an anomaly.
Yeah. The white and saddle will be mine.
Oh that’s a bummer. I’ve got 3 that I’ve been rotating over the last 16 or so rounds and so far so good, only some slight heel pad wearing in one because of my Herculean grip.
Disappointing for sure. I have four rounds into my new glove and no issues. Hopefully it holds up.
I was just given an Asher glove. I somehow missed this thread. Indeed, the company is located nearby in Park City. The one I was given fits fantastically and seems as well made as any other I have used. I plan to support my local business.
They’re my favorites by far. I’ve got 4 that I rotate and haven’t worn one out yet.
You are so lucky or @mikeg_74 and @JDax and I are unlucky. I really like their designs, but only get a few rounds out of them. I am wondering though how much of that is norm vs me having been using the Claw Glove Pro, which lasts forever.
Yeah, it’s wild to me. I rotate them day by day but I’ve got several 36-54 hole days on each, there’s some normal wear in the palm pad, but no holes and no awkward stretching at all.
Definitely disappointing to have that happen only after a few rounds. I’m on glove two and it’s held up a lot better with multiple rounds/practice sessions with it. I am hoping that first one was a just a bad one.
I love the Asher gloves, only knock is how long I can get them to last before they stretch out & I’m really a Cadet size and they don’t make Cadet sizes.
