Gloves in golf are pretty utilitarian. They serve a purpose and for the most part do so with very little in the way of design. Most sport the logo of your favorite company and there are certainly options that offer more function than others, but generally speaking there is little thought of from the aesthetics side of things.
Asher Golf is not a new name, but yet one that might have slipped passed you. The brand was born with the idea that golfers cared about how they look on the course. Nice shorts or pants, polo shirt, clean shoes and then that bland dried out crusty glove just wouldn’t cut it.
The idea was real and the belief was that the golf world needed a high quality option that added a little fashion to the mix. Not fashion over function, but fashion and function in a price tag that mirrored the competition’s plain white alternative.
The first time we met the company, they asked us something that hit home. “Think back to the time you were grabbing a new glove from an absolute sea of white gloves in thin packages, what made one stand out from the other?”.
Good question, and Asher Golf seems to have figured it out. Over the last few years, the brand has expanded into other items such as clothing and accessories, but their mark is the glove and they have options in a number of price ranges and more styles than you can imagine.
You want colors? Sure, Asher has many to choose from. Do you like skulls or skeletons? Check out the Death Grip Model (image below) which is a fun play on words. Want to add some style without breaking the bank? Their Chuck line is very inexpensive and has some unique looks to boot.
Trying them out, we got a chance to sample their Premium Collection. High end, cut from a single piece of AAA Cabretta Leather and a fit that is exactly what you want in a glove. Speaking of fit, their gloves run true to size, so if shopping now, keep your regular sizing in mind.
The three things we get most requested about golf gloves are simple.
- How does it fit?
- Tell me about the durability?
- Price?
We tackled number one in the paragraph above. Number three is a pretty easy one. They have gloves starting at barely over $10. We can expand on durability a bit now. Is there something to Asher gloves that make them more durable than other options? In a word, no, but they aren’t less durable either. In fact over the years, I have tested a lot of gloves and each of the Asher lines has held up to the competition quite well.
With more than a handful of different lines and a new one dropping shortly, Asher does have something for just about everybody. From the NBA to a skeleton look and everything in between. I am partial to the Alta 2.0 (above) personally, but strictly based on the look and how well it contrasts, but also for just how different it is.
For more information, check out their website at www.ashergolf.com and drop us a note below with which glove you think is your favorite.

You are so lucky or @mikeg_74 and @JDax and I are unlucky. I really like their designs, but only get a few rounds out of them. I am wondering though how much of that is norm vs me having been using the Claw Glove Pro, which lasts forever.
I read through the entire thread after ordering. Your experience gives me concern. There was another brand of glove I learned of through the forum and the gloves had some really cool unique designs. I bought 3 of them. The first one was fine and then the other two tore right through the palms on the first use. I had never experienced that before in a glove.
Last Saturday, I was at the store looking at some equipment and taking some swings. I hadn’t brought a glove with me, so I bought one. It was one of the major manufacturers’ products. Five minutes in and it tore through the palm. I was fairly dumbfounded.
The glove had felt kind of tight when I put it on. I then remembered the gloves I had ordered and had torn also felt tight. I am now wondering if a tight glove rips for me. Long post, but the sim on this one feels great. I really hope they wear well. I usually am not hard on gloves.

I love the Asher gloves, only knock is how long I can get them to last before they stretch out & I’m really a Cadet size and they don’t make Cadet sizes.

I have traditionally worn a m/l cadet and this one in m/l fits fantastically.

I wear a cadet XL and the Asher XL has worked out so far. don’t know how they’ll hold up to summer rounds yet though.
I have a couple of rounds in with the first Asher glove that came into my possession. It held up great. I ordered five more. I like to support local businesses. This one was part of my order. It’s kind of fun.

Mine have been as durable as any other leather product.
I have had them hold up great! Love them.
I’m excited to get the three from the spring collection in that I won on Twitter!

In fact, only reason I havent bought more yet is these are still ticking along just fine. Starting to finally show some wear with a ton of golf on each one, but not worn out yet.

I wonder if there was a bad batch or something. Myself, @JDax and @mikeg_74 all had virtually the exact same issue. I don’t have any others to further test, but can probably pick some up soon.

Maybe it is. All I know is all I know though (good god that was way too rhyme-y hahaha).
Ive got 30+ on each of the 3 and none have holes and haven’t stretched out too much yet. There’s some rubbing/skinning starting to appear, but it’s not to the point of needing to replace yet. And they’re still pleasantly supple and soft for me.
IMO, the rotation is key. Though I do commonly play 2-3 rounds the same day with the same glove and forget to rotate and have gotten away with it. Day to day I always rotate out.

After that first one, they have been fine. I am on the same glove since I mentioned the first one wore out and it’s been fine. Granted the test will be as the temps warm up and humidity kicks in and starts to mess with the materials.

I think I liked the glove so much that I didn’t rotate it enough like others. I will definitely be giving them another try soon.
Received these today from the contest I won last week. Upon first glance and try on, super impressed. Feel great, look good and quality seems good. I normally wear a CM, but they do not make this size so they sent me a M and it fits perfect!

so update on these. I have had the glove all the way to the right in this pic in play for 3 rounds now and it is starting to stretch and the palm is wearing a little. I’m sure it still has quite a bit of wear in it, but the stretching stinks. I normally wear a CM but they don’t make Cadet. Medium fits good, just stretching sooner than I had hoped. Glove is still super comfy. We will see how well it holds up. I usually change gloves about every 2-3 months.

Curious how that middle color glove holds up for you. That is the one that had durability issues for me.
about 5 rounds plus some range session in on the middle glove. Wearing like any other glove in that range. the base of the thumb panel is cut a little weird and cuts in a bit, has stretched a bit making it better, no excessive stretching elsewhere.
I’m not sure it unseats the vice pure as my favorite, but it’ll be a nice change up with some of the designs they have.
After my last issue with the glove, @Jman reviews got me to try them again. I am 1 round outside and 3 rounds in the Tech Studio and it looks perfect. I am going with bad batch or something because this one is holding up well.

I had some issues with durability. There were only a few of us, but we each had the same issue. Nobody since that time has had any and this current glove is holding up well.

This makes me super happy to hear!
I did finally kill one though, left it in the pocket and it got washing machined to death ?
The premium gloves have held up well in some cooler rounds this year. I did try one of the Chuck series in hopes that they’d be just as good and unfortunately they were not. I found issues with the glove slipping on my hand (maybe stretching out?) after a half bucket on the range. Will probably buy the premium offering again, but won’t bother with the $12 variants.
Coming out with polos/clothing line soon. Might give it a go.

They feel great and are good quality. My only issue is they don’t make cadet sizes. I wear a cadet medium in every other brand and the medium ones I have stretch relatively quickly and after a few rounds just feel too big. I have 2 gloves left, and won them in a Twitter contest, but unfortunately until they come out with cadet sizes, I won’t purchase any after these are used up. Hard to spend that much on a glove and it not be too big after a few rounds.
I currently only have Asher in my bag, I will say in the past I had some issues with ripping gloves too easily. In the most recent gloves so far they have last and feel great. There was 1 recently that came in the packaging with a hole in it where some stitching came loose. Overall love the gloves and different colors and styles they have.

Awesome website. T-shirts, headwear and accessories look great. THP keeps me educated.
I didn’t see the polos on the site.

love those. might be able to pass with the stock on THPxAsher gloves I have on hand though.
You can try nitrile gloves
I have been playing Asher gloves all summer. They are as durable as anything else that I have ever used. Since they are a local company for me, I plan to continue using them.
Love their gloves. They held up extremely well for me and the feel and look is great. I only buy the premium thoufh so can’t comment on the chuck ones. But the premium are lasting twice as long as gloves half the price so it evens out for me.
Just bumping because I absolutely love these gloves. This is after 10 range of XL range buckets and two rounds of golf. Feel is still great. Fit is still great. No signs of tearing. Best glove for me, hands down.
(pun intended)
