It’s the second trip of the THP Event series called Shaft Up with UST Mamiya in 2022. For those that have missed the previous years, Shaft Up is a series of 3 events on the THP Forum where lucky forum members win a full fitting, golf at amazing course, new equipment and oh yeah, it is all 100% free including airfare. This year trip 2 is being held at Victoria National and it is going to be an amazing follow.
Shaft Up #3 contest is coming soon. Check out the details here and you could win one of these amazing trips.
Before getting ahead of ourselves however, Shaft Up #2 is coming next week and just because you will not be at Victoria National with Danny Le from UST Mamiya, and myself, does not mean you cannot win an amazing prize.
How to Enter
Two THP Forum Members are heading to Indiana to get fit by into the new Callaway Rogue ST driver along with a premium UST Mamiya Shaft. Then they will be playing as a twosome against Danny and myself. Those forum members are @montantk and @qwkz51

Who will win the match? To make things even, we will be giving up a stroke per hole except par threes in match play.
What is your current driver?
What shaft is in your current driver?
What is your favorite UST Mamiya driver shaft?
Step 2: Follow along with this Live Update Thread and see if you were right and if you are the lucky winner. The updates will kick off below beginning with travel.
The Prize: We have a killer THP Prize Pack filled with amazing goodies going out to the lucky winner of the contest!
If you like our weekly contests, make sure you share them across the social media platforms below and check back each day for more new exclusive THP content.

Here’s a swing for everybody Kyle and myself both play smaller courses like sub 5800yd course and mine is 105 slope. Victoria National is A 145 slope And more than 6600 yd

Honestly there is really nothing that can prepare you for that course. I play my fair share of courses in the 130 range for slope and they don’t even come close to the difficulty of that course. Unless you’re regularly playing tour stop courses, this place is going to beat the wheels off of you

I’m that photo it was playing 171 not adjusting for slope. It has a decent amount of depth but it’s very narrow and the only miss is short

That was actually Danny. We look alike though. 🙂
I cant thank @Qwkz51 and @BuffaloPlunger enough for a great couple of days.
Victoria National was absolutely spectacular and one of the hardest courses I have played to date. Danny’s quote was funny. “I just played the PGA Champ course two weeks ago and this is way better and should be higher on the stupid list”.
But either way, what a special couple of days with some awesome THPers and we cannot wait to do it again.
That course looks very difficult. Thanks for taking us on the ride with you. Way to battle back @Qwkz51 @BuffaloPlunger

It has been said a lot, but cant be said enough, how spectacular that course is. Every picture was just stunning and the course looked tough. Pretty freaking cool you guys got to stay and play there!!
Man what a great follow, the gains from @DannyLe fitting, and an amazing course. @JB this one is a tough one to beat for Shaft Up.

I just got caught up. Had a terrible day today so, I couldn’t participate today like I had anticipated. What an event! Congrats to @DannyLe and @JB. @BuffaloPlunger and @Qwkz51 (Hawt Carl) you guys could be my cartner anytime. You guys did EXTREMELY well on a hard course. Glad everybody had fun and I can’t wait to see how your new UST shafts and Rogue ST drivers perform. @BuffaloPlunger some 300+ yd bombs today is ??? Good on ya! Seems like you can’t miss with either but Ballyhack has a uniqueness too it, it seems. But that is just the feeling I got from following events. This course just seemed absolutely pure but maybe not as unique?
Congratulations @JB and @DannyLe on the victory. Hard to say there were any losers in this with the gains that @Qwkz51 and @MON… @BuffaloPlunger will see. This course looked absolutely amazing and tough as it could get before the heat. Enjoyed the follow a lot with such beautiful course photos. Safe travels everyone.

It was mentioned earlier on in the thread I believe. My putting did not do me well today. It was a little bit of a struggle leading up to the event because practice did not go well. Feels like I’m one step away from the yips

Those greens were just really uncomfy. They rolled super well but they played games with your head on the shorter putts
For you Grandaddy hopefuls watching, mid event name change as “how I would change up the live thread” is taken. Well done @BuffaloPlunger and @Qwkz51. I enjoyed following along.
Way late to the party and from what little I understand there has been a name change. Now I’m going to go back through the 79 pages I’m behind and read what awesomeness happened that led to this. Well done guys, looking forward to reading through!

Need to add “Charity balls from JB” to the “What’s Included” section
We finally know what “..and so much more” includes.
Congratulations to all four of the participants, two of which scored slightly better than the others.
Then again, the other two made huge gains in the driver department, so that counts for something right?
Not to be forgotten the whole “artist formerly known as” mid-event name change!
Ultimately it would seem that it was the course that won, however I would argue strongly that it was in fact THP. Hundreds of us got to live vicariously through two lucky men and share in an incredible experience.
Well done all and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next edition.
Thanks for this follow everyone. @DannyLe fitting up a 50 yard gain. A course that was absolutely pristine and difficult. A new forum name. A Kentucky condo. What more do you want. I love Shaft Up.
Great job guys, really enjoyed your experience
I’m pretty sure I saw half of the guys on my flight at the course???
Back in Nashville and unpacked.
Incredibly tired.
What a great couple of days with the group.
This facility is absolutely awesome.
The gains these two saw might be some of the best we have seen to date.

thanks @JB and @DannyLe for organizing another perfect event. Danny takes the fun at every experience to a different level.

Greens rolling at a 12 will do that. Especially if there’s some movement to the putt. That outside the hole putt from 3 ft. turns into a 2 ft breaker on certain greens. I wouldn’t sweat it.
For everyone wondering, Victoria National is ranked #47 but was #43 a few years back although I’d make the case it should probably be too 40 or maybe even top 30. If you pay really close attention, there’s a pretty famous course way up towards that 50 spot;)
