The Official Rant of the Day

Best buddy here at work got a huge offer from his former boss last Friday. Big, like 2X his current salary with less headaches and getting back to what he enjoyed. He hands in his 2 weeks and is escorted off the property. Now, we're sales guys & you never work out your 2 weeks, so it was expected but the attitude around here has been p!ss poor about the whole deal.
 
This last couple weeks of work has been nuts I haven't had time for much haven't touched a club or really browsed thp much hoping it slows down this weekend a bit.
 
One day with my head above water...
12 years on the job and this has been the most hectic, chaotic, disastrous 3 1/2 week stretch yet!

Leave this job by 10:15, home by 1:00....
 
CJ, the sheer number of hours you put in. I gotta admire your work ethic!

We've never done that. We'll give the rep a few days to notify clients or pending deals and give them time to transition their book to another rep. But we've never done the whole escort them out by the elbow thing. The only time I ever did that was when a rep quit on the spot over something incredibly stupid. She got escorted out right then and there, but that was it. Never when formal notice was given and there were no HR issues.

Everywhere I've ever worked as a sales guy, you turn in your 2 weeks, go over whatever files you may have open & unsettled then see ya later.

Actually this last period is an isolated incident.., sometimes I go days/weeks without anything to do.

When's its time to get stuff done though, I do it!
 
Second night working late. Was here til 1 am yesterday. Not enjoying this. Looking forward to a break soon.

So on top of all the BS going on now it appears we have a small water issue in our bedroom possibly from either the chimney or the roof or some known...a big eff me

I woke up to put money under kids pillow for losing her tooth and then saw how bad the ceiling looked with all the rain we had.

Guessing it's the chimney flashing. Worse part is I don't even know where to start or who to even call to come look.

This sucks. I had a similar issue a couple years ago but not with the chimney. I called a roofing company who came out, looked at the issue and put new sealant around the pipe as what was there was cracking. Fortunately the HoA here is responsible for the exterior repairs and I didn't have to pay the cost.
 
I HATE having to give myself a shot in the belly of that blood thinner drug . For the next 12 days I have to partake in this.

I was hoping when I finished the last shot after my knee surgery that I would never have to partake in this body torture again.

My poor forearm that tried to slow my fall down Tuesday seems to hit every thing in it's path. This is usually the way it goes huh

minor rant:
flat tire 2 days ago, drove over a nail on way home from golf course. Thankfully only needed to be plugged.

Jump in the car to head to work this morning and my battery was dead. AAA replaced and good to go.
