I've dropped 7 pounds since Monday - just eating clean. Drinking nothing but water & lots of it. No junk food, no processed food. Replaced the bread in our house with Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted grains bread (very low glycemic index, with most of the "bad" wheat stuff not there) - just eating it sparingly too. Not eating anything after dinner.
Trying to have some good protein, good carbs (veggies mainly) with lots of fiber, and a little fat in each meal/snack.
The surprising thing is how quickly my cravings have gone away. Really after the 3rd day it hasn't been bad.
Now it's time to add some workouts. Feeling better & sleeping better too.
I made some of the same changes. Water as opposed to soft drinks and sweet tea. And changed the type and amount of bread I was eating.
Down about 35 pounds since my surgery in October.
You're right about the cravings decreasing. I have honestly had 3 sodas since October. It's water at every meal except I did just recently start back with coffee. But I drink it black anyway.
Tried to run again today, right knee just couldn't take it. The joys of running when your 306 lbs.
The knee brace is going back on for running that should help.
Can you do reverse lunges for a bit? And then side steps.
Deadlifts aren't fun till your ears pop anyway. If you can hear the music during you're lift, you ain't lifting heavy enough.

Do you have a pool available? Running in there is much easier on your joints and a great workout.Tried to run again today, right knee just couldn't take it. The joys of running when your 306 lbs.

No, no pool unfortunately. I wish I love swimming use to bike 5 miles to swim every day when I lived in Minnesota.Do you have a pool available? Running in there is much easier on your joints and a great workout.

I've dropped from 198lbs to 190lbs since January 26. Been trying to lower the amount of carbs and suger I eat. Played two rounds of golf and a lot of walking.
I'm down almost 10 pounds since the new year on a small change of diet alone. If I could find the motivation to work out, my goal by my birthday shouldn't be hard to obtain.
Thanks Dan. I'm really feeling healthier but I just need a kick to get into the next gear. It'll happen soon, just gotta find the time. That's awesome dude! Congrats.
