I’m pretty sure he can attribute this win to the mullet! Haha all joking aside, what a great Sunday for golf. Media basically gave Rory the claret jug going into Sunday and Cam Smith took care of business. Great win!

Not sure how true it is, but pretty sure I heard something where he said he keeps his hair like that because his girlfriend and mother aren't keen on it and it winds them up :ROFLMAO:
That is a brave move and a half right there - now try pulling that stunt with my bank balance and I'd be at the barbers in a heartbeat

Just had the opportunity to listen to his presser with the Golf Channel crew. Thought it was well done. I’m not sure if he is jumping ship.

I think he already jumped, he just knew yesterday was not the time to show his cards and create an unnecessary stir to black the eye of the event or the R&A.

I think you are right and @JB and I talked about this Wed on how I thought he would be the next to make the move. Disappointed but it was good to see him get that 1st major win.

What an awesome finish at the Open, Cam is my favorite player.

It’s hilarious I created this thread but every time I see it I still read it as…

Can Smith Talk. 😂

Im still not sure. I have reached out to a few agents and all I know is there was talk.
His comments yesterday about the FedEx Cup changed my mind a bit.

Is it weird that a current Players and Open Championship winner wouldnt move the needle at all across the golf landscape? That is kind of how I feel about it.

Favorite golfer on tour. Lives in the area, loves to fish, his boat is sick, love his style and attitude. Keep winning Cam!

I see him mowing his yard from time to time.

Cam absolutely lights it up on the back 9s on Sunday. So glad he won this tourney and hope he wins the FEdex Cup. He's great, even when the driver is going wild he still can hit shots to stay in the tourney.

About as weird as the average golf fan not being able to pick out at least two of the four major winners this year out of a lineup.

Why would he jump? He will not lack for money since major winners usually fly off to private exhibitions for a lotta cash. And he will keep making great money. He is young, doesn't seem to have the more time with family excuse which seems like a fake excuse, if he cares about legacy, he will lose it. Also, LIV is a different type of competition ... players will lose their competitive edge. "Hey, so I'm crapping all over the course. No matter, I'm coming home with $120k and what my team brings me."

And I wonder about this with all LIV Players. Greg calls and says MBS needs you in Dubai for an exhibition. Cam or anyone else on LIV says "No, family time, got to go fish." Ten minutes later, 2 men come to escort him to the jet. I can imagine this happening because I have an active imagination and the Saudis are funding this. People like MBS don't give you millions to say "no".

Just a thought. Kings and Crown Princes give orders, they don't take them.

Very cool, yeah he mows his putting green himself. My buddy lives a few house down from him on the intracoastal.

I saw him doing that when driving to the Yards to play 9 lol. Pretty cool so see. My buddy lives on Solana (I Believe) so he's pretty close and told me he's always doing that lol.

Good to hear another person saw this and I am not going crazy!

Only been here in Jax for 3.5 years so still getting used to the roads etc...

Crazy how different he looks but we should not be surprised. Cam Smith is a big time gamer.

Love how he keeps his putting pretty simple.

The money argument for some of these guys gets lost on me unless they are over 40 or gambled/pissed all their money away like many NFL and NBA athletes.
I’ll use Jordan Spieth as an example. He makes about $25M per year mostly from sponsorships that would be dramatically reduced if he jumps to the LIV tour. If he stays with the PGA Tour and saves just 20% of his annual earnings he will be a billionaire before he turns 50 assuming his current net worth is $110M and an average return of 9.4%. $150M lump sum doesn’t move the needle for him especially if his major sponsors were to dry up.

If Cam Smith gets another major or two he’s is in a similar financial earnings outlook situation as Spieth.

Good analysis I agree for Cam it doesn't make sense. If he keeps it up he could become the new Rickie Fowler and make a kings ransom.

Best putter on the planet right now. As his confidence grows and he keeps the ball in play he's gonna be competitive.

I love that he was there alone which he said was because his Dad and fam didn't really want to travel for just a week. Also, that he still hadn't looked at his phone... for a 28 year old to be so casual and just trying to take the moment in is very cool.

I agree and I really hope you're right that Cam sees it that way. He's a really fun player to watch, very cool and collected under pressure but knows how to party and have fun too.

Alone doesnt seem right. He pointed out a pretty large entourage that was with him on Sunday.

You know it's XXXX because Queenslanders can't spell beer...;)

If you ordered that in a pub back home the barman would bash you. :ROFLMAO:
Yes they use that stuff as -
mechanics parts washer
or
spraying cane toads , even they migrate to get away from it…😂😂😂
