New from Cleveland is the announcement of its CG Black CB Irons:

The new CG Black CB irons were designed for better amateur golfers with swing speeds ranging from 85 mph to 105 mph. The CG Black CB irons were developed for players who prefer to work the ball toward the flag stick, but still want plenty of forgiveness.

The CG Black CB’s long and mid irons also utilize a high strength HT 1770 steel face material for improved COR which leads to increased consistency, forgiveness and distance off the club face.

Designed with a premium black finish, the CG Black CB irons are offered with a Nippon® NS Pro 1050 GH steel shaft ($699.99) or a UST® Recoil 660/670 graphite shaft ($799.99).

THP TV will have some video on these coming soon. Spent some time with them (mikedean441 and I out in California) and came away quite impressed.

Those look very nice.

they look very good

Easy to hit for a cavity back...and high launching (hit the stock shaft)..felt great. Big fan of the black heads as well.

These look really damn good actually.

Color is fantastic on these. Impressed

Those have a nice stealthy look to them. Very clean looking iron

Boy I sure like the looks of those.

I'm digging the look of those a lot.

Dean or JB, during your short testing with them. Any concerns of the black chipping away on the face?

Didn't hit a boatload of balls but I personally didn't notice anything excessive wear wise on the faces

These irons are really good looking and could fit a lot people who are willimg to give Cleveland a chance.

Well hello gorgeous! These look soooo nice, cannot wait to hear more

Good looking iron there. Do you know what the weight is on the recoils. Really dig that they went with Nippon for the stock steel shaft as well.

I like the look of these irons and have always enjoyed Cleveland products...is the 6° gap between the wedges a little higher than normal?

Well so much for the decision to leave irons to Srixon and not introduce a new Cleveland line.

These do look nice.

As long as the distance gaps work and the user knows them, the loft gaps don't matter that much imo.

Whoa! Love the look of the black

I like everything about these except that white line on the sole. I always regretted not getting the original CG Black irons.

These are pretty impressive. If they follow the suit the new driver follows, these are going to be a very solid iron for a lot of people.

These look awesome, and certainly appear to be a lot of launch and forgiveness stuffed into a very trim package.

Since the first teasers, I wondered if these will be the iron that makes me rethink my relationship with my Apex irons.

I love black irons. I love Cleveland golf. These have my attention and I would definitely love some time with these.

Wow those lofts are strong though.

well hello there. Those sure got my attention. these sound sweet and look really sharp.
