Today, I finally broke through 10.0 on my handicap. I almost feel that I need to start practicing more now to justify it. But still a happy day.

congrats chewie! I finally broke 10 and got down to a 9.5 at the end of last year, thought I came back strong at the beginning of this season, and now for the last week I have completely lost my swing and shot 56 and 60 on two 9-hole rounds. Its completely rediculus. I'm hoping I can find it again soon. I've taken a few days off from the range and course. I'm going to try and get out tomorrow and play 9 holes and not think about my swing and just go out there and have fun. We'll see....but congrats on breaking 10.0 I know how excited I was when I finally did it! Great achievement!

Chewie, what's your target hcp to reach by the end of 2011?
 
I would love to be a 7 or 8, but I know that means consistently shooting right around 80 to 82. Practice, practice, practice.

You can do it man, especially if you put the time in. Congrats again on your achievement, that's something to be proud of.
 
Thanks TC. I put the time in when I can, especially with having an 8 yr old who has somewhere to be Mon thru Fri. The good thing is he loves going to the course and playing 9 with me.

Congratulations! That is an awesome accomplishment and one I'm only dreaming of these days. Keep up the great work.
 
Great Job! I know how excited I was when I broke 100, then 90, then 85 for the first time (about 20 years ago!). Now, I'm very happy to break 95!

I can't even imagine a 10. Congrats again.

very nice! I was there for the last 2 months... and until recently have been struggling with a few changes to my swing. Keep practicing to maintain it!
 
That is great congratulations, now get to working on 5, you won't ever regret practicing to get better. Makes it a lot more fun.
