Thank you. This weekend, on the range, I realized that I was getting narrow on the way back. Instead of trying to fix it at the outing, I rolled with it. Thought about it for a day and a half. Got to the range today and worked it out.

I saw a guy with a short backswing like this yesterday and he was really striking the ball well! He was playing from the back tees, hitting it long and hitting greens in reg too.

This picture was taken in the process of producing my longest drive ever, a 15mph wind-assisted 314 yard beauty in the middle of the fairway, so I'm not complaining about it. :act-up:

I think, even though my backswing is really short, the transition if fairly aggressive, thus creating enough speed to get the ball away a good distance. I've seen people in this thread credit paying hockey for their long backswing; I'd think I have a short one because of it, as I've never been a player that really winds up his shots.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, I need to create a little bit more LAG. I used to cast horribly like a fisherman.

there's short because people don't turn their shoulders, and then there's short because the arms haven't turned in sequence with the shoulders. it looks to me like you've made a massive shoulder turn with a relatively minimal turn of the hips. sure, the arms haven't really followed much, but if you can fire those hips and create some additional lag on the downswing, i'd think you could hit the ball pretty far. i like it!

Just what my eyes see, you might want to get off that left side on the back swing. Unless you're a stack tilt student.

From this position you are very limited on what you can do. You will have to swing deeper in order to generate any additional distance. I'm sure the swing works for you but if your looking for me, you'll have to change the back swing

Not at all, it looks like a homemade swing. Which is more than fine but it's a very limited swing in terms of squeezing more out of it

Here is a back swing with a wedge that will generate 130-140 yards of distance I think his hands are higher with a much smaller club.
