It would irritate me as well, wouldn't have thought about that ahead of time.Interesting thoughts about getting sand in them. That would irritate the heck out of me if it did happen.
Curious to hear the reviewers thoughts on that aspect.

This sand getting in the shoe thing would probably be a deal breaker for me. I HATE anything that gets into my shoes.Sand is a good question. I have not experienced yet. But can tell you only from wearing this morning. I think sand will get in add the sides are low and the shoe tongue is only attached at the bottom which leaves the sides exposed for sand to get thru after passing the laces.

Could one of the testers take a photo of one foot with the Vibram and one with the standard golf shoe to see the height difference, thanks.
I will definitely do that. I want to measure it to really know how much of a difference it is.

Other than that, there are some fascinating initial thoughts in here so far. From toes being engaged into the golf swing, to feet going back to work, to twig/thorn things getting stuck between the toes. Great stuff so far.
Great stuff. Especially this part.6. I will never wear them playing golf without socks again.
Nice review Sanzabar, lots of good info here. Would you consider yourself a smooth easy swinger, especially with driver, or like me, "snake killer". I really go after the ball and wonder about the stibility for us players who attack the ball.
Great stuff. Especially this part.
Also, "toe fatigue" sounds awful. Does this mean that your toes are sore? Or that it felt like you played 18 with your toes strained or something?
Good stuff Sanzabar. I would think over time that your toes would start to get used to it. My guess is too that in a regular shoe your toes kind of all work together across one flat surface. In these they all have to work individually on their own.
Thanks for the comparison, looks quite a bit lower, can't wait to see the in foot pics! Here is a few pictures to show height difference, spikes and spikeless shoes.
