What did you shoot today?

45/47-92. Played a course I had never played before with a similar slope rating as my home course only my score was much higher than usual. Hit the ball pretty well but didn't have much to show for it. It was good to get out and challenge myself by playing a new course. Will try to do it more often this summer.

went out with 3 friends today played the best this year so far 75 par 72 with 27 putts -- felt great even though I had 4 bad shots for me so if it went better 71 oh well had a great time oh forgot no 3 putts yaaa....

First round in 12 days this morning, a brisk 18. Tee'd off at 6:20, done by 8:25. A smooth 85 (43/42). 4 doubles, 5 edge hangers that didn't fall, poor ball striking and one lucky birdie. Good news is that I showered and was sitting behind my desk by 9:45.

+8/79 for me today. Another day where I feel like my ball striking is better than ever and yet I can't score. Only really got in trouble off the tee a couple times but had chances to save par and just didn't convert. Only 30 putts but that's because of a lot chips getting in close to save par. Maybe I will get back to low to mid 70s at some point.

Played a tournament today at Magnolia Creek... Course rating 71.3 slope. 121

PERSONAL BEST tournament round of 75 for my 2nd win of the year. Shot 36/39, 10 fairways, 11 greens and 31 putts. Only used 13 putts the whole front nine after one putting holes 3-7. Also picked up 2 skins and long drive for a 340 yarder on 14 (wind aided obviously) .

front nine (England) 36 1 birdie, 1 bogey, 7 pars
back nine (Scotland) 39 2 birdies, 3 bogeys, 1 double, 3 pars

Was fortunate to be invited to play The Golf Club of Houston (formerly known as Redstone) where they hold the Shell Houston Open.
We played the "Tournament Course" from the "Club Tees" and it was cart path only from all the rain in the last couple of days, and we played it down
(probably should have played the traps as "under repair" as they were compressed mud, but oh well)
It was my first time ever playing this track and it was a blast.
Shot 75
35 front (1 under) with 1 bogey - 2 birdies - 6 pars
40 back with 1 double - 4 bogies - 1 eagle (hole #12 par 4) - 3 pars
Still not a bad round for me

Way to go Dennis!!!!!

Had a little bit of an explosion round today. 85 (44-41) playing with vman, MillerTime and DawgDaddy at vman's course.

The course was beautiful, but my game apparently stayed in Atlanta. Started the round just over drawing everything, and I couldn't really get it straightened out. Found way too many hazards, and had far too many doubles. Surprisingly, the short game was pretty good. I just couldn't seem to get to the green in regulation very much.

Still a fun time playing with those guys. I'll take tomorrow off and hit the range Thursday. Amateur golf at its finest.

Did Ken miss any fairways?

Maybe one or two at most. He was driving it really well. Ken's game was solid on the front. Irons got a little loose for him on the back.

That's not like you at all. I guess you are human. Haha. Shake it off buddy and know that the game is there and it was just an off day.

Yeah, my course can be a little penal if you're a little off, and Seth was a little off his game today. We had a good time though and I think he, Dawgdaddy and Miller Time enjoyed the course. They'll all play better next time, having seen the course. It appears to be pretty straight forward, and is, but it's a mountain course, so...it can surprise you.

This was my first round in 9 days (since Ocean City), although I've been on the range every day. I had a good front nine, shooting 36 even with three 3-putts. I lost focus a little on the back and started over swinging again with my irons. Shot 44 for a disappointing 80. But, looking back, I'm encouraged with the effort, especially on the front. I have a match play round to play Thursday in an inter-club challenge at an away course and this was good prep for it.

36 holes on the home course today--doing some MC prep.

35/41= 76
37/41= 78

The back 9 annoyed me today--was set to do PB or even break par for the first time and had a blow up. Same score (back 9) both times but lost strokes on different holes. Punched greens but 31 putts both rounds.

Thanks. Some days things just don't want to work for you. That's my worst score in a couple months (ironically, my last round with vman), but things will bounce back pretty quickly.

Just a reminder why I don't do this for a living. Still fun as heck to play with these guys.

I was hoping you wouldn't remember that! You may start thinking I bring out the worst in you. LOL

Good scores...not so crazy about your scores....it puts a big smile on my face to see you guys continue to grind it out.

I think driving for an hour plus and then not much warmup is the bigger culprit. No worries, Sir.

Are you kidding, Pete? I would have given my right arm today to break eighty --- oh. Nevermind.

Today I shot a rubber band at a co-worker. Had to work late so was not able to get out, and had to cancel my 5:00 tee time. sad day. Maybe tomorrow

Played 9 after work today. Was incredibly frustrating round as I had to wait on every single shot starting on the second hole. There was a family of 4 in front of me playing incredibly slow. The parents were not very good and they were trying to teach the kids how to play. I ended up pairing up with another single walker behind me and a guy riding behind him. We still had to wait. I didn't want to be jerk and ask to play through and would have had to had yelled to ask because they were always just far enough way. Probably should have called the pro shop to send someone out. I shouldn't have let it ruin my round but it did. Ended up shooting +3 39 with a double on the last.

What a roller coaster of a night. Had league, and my dad was subbing for my brother, so I was excited for a change of pace as my brother can be somewhat of a downer and put me in a bad place. Well, first tee shot was on a par 5, and I chunk the shot and it comes up about 3 feet short of the fairway. Thankfully, the J40 4w is a beast and puts me in reachable position in 2, but then I push/fade my 7i right and end up behind a tree. Try to go over the tree but end up hitting it and going further right, chip on and 2 putt for a double. 2 more doubles, and 2 bogies, and I'm not in a great place, mentally. Was able to right the ship and finish the last 4 holes at even par, with 2 pars, a bogie, and a birdie on the last. Left my eagle putt a foot short, but had the line the whole way. A tap-in birdie was a great way to end the night after the way it started. Ended with a +8 44 with 18 putts from 2 putting every freaking green.

41/38-79

Bogey train on the front, 5 in a row. Blah.

39 with that kind of waiting and frustration is very impressive! Good work
