Awesome irons but the shafts I have are a little too light. I tried the c taper lites, they only had them in stiff but I liked them. The Nippons were smooth but hard for me with my quick transition too control.

Day off today, no golf but was looking at clubs for sale on eBay. (F9 OL) Iím going to be sorting a fitting out for the F9 speedback one length irons for myself. Looking out of curiosity on eBay and found a set for sale that had different swing weights on certain clubs. 5-6 were tour 80 and the 7-9 were tour 90 and pw-sw were tour 110. Anyway my question. Is it common for various swing weight differences in the clubs? Only asking as never been tofitting before and would it be something I suggest if not tried by the fitter? Thanks John.

The swing weight is the same throughout the set, despite the slightly different shaft weights. Cobra has been tweaking the shaft setup for OL, and this seems to be optimal for that shaft. I'm playing the Atmos shaft, and each club feels identical as well, despite all being 66g.

I wouldn't worry about the shaft weights, not as it relates to OL. Just try out all the shafts available and see what works the best for you.

I just had the pleasure of unboxing a shiny new set of sticks. Should be putting them to the test in T-minus 3 hours. Initial thoughts will follow.

Thanks for all the feedback in this thread, I found it helpful in my decision to upgrade earlier this year than what had been my plan.

Are you talking about shaft weights or actual swing weights. The swing weights are the same and if you look at the website, the different shaft weighting is the stock setup.

Thanks for the replyís I donít know much about having a custom build itís the shaft weight I believe just didnít realise that they are different for some of the clubs, would that be correct? I got a new set of F-max one length brand new in sale £250 to try the concept. Now I donít have golf on my brain 24/7. So now ready for a custom fit OL lF9 speedback set.

If you all get tired of me schilling the F9 long irons, please tell me to stop. Today, we had a March-like weather day certainly not June weather. Temperature in the 50ís. Strong wind. I step up to one of the holes that is my nemesis on my home course, a long par 3. Today, the pin was about 225 from the tee box. It was playing into the wind. I pull the 4 iron. I hit a beautiful high, but strong ball. The ball came down, rolled out about 6 feet and stopped a foot or so from the pin. I was playing with two guys in their 20ís, one a former college football player. The tee was stacked up, because of its difficulty. I turned to the threesome behind us and winked at them. Fun stuff. The F9 4 iron is my all time favorite club. No joke.

This irons are certainly agreeing with you Craig!! I'm starting to find favor with my F9 4 iron as well.. It's causing me to rework the top end of my bag.

Happy to post that I put the best round of my life together on Saturday morning and shot a 93 with these irons! I was finding greens in regulation more often than I ever have, and only lost one ball OB. The confidence I have with these irons is unbelievable. I think the fact that I have been playing the OL 4-GW set has really helped me be more consistent in striking the ball. I was also able to finally get my F9 diver back to keeping it straight, and man was it a fun round. I think that these are among the best irons for a beginner or high handicap golfer out right now.

I've been kicking around the idea of adding the F9 4i to my bag. After continually following this thread, this may be the post that has broken the camels back, so to speak. Would love to add confidence on long approach shots, or narrow tee shots.
