Kinetixx shafts are high tech and can fit a variety of different golfers. We wanted to put it to the test, but before diving into the swings and data (video below), let’s breakdown the specs and what is available in what makes the Velocity such a high tech and high performance golf shaft.
Vacuum curing reduces resin content and Kinetixx is the only manufacturer doing this currently. What does that mean? Enhanced feedback and performance is the goal and getting there by optimizing dynamic recovery properties of the material.
The Velocity line features active butt and tip sections designed for the golfer looking for better efficiency and you guessed it, more velocity. Want to get technical? Mid balance point in a shaft that kicks hard and recovers very quickly. Mid to high launch, yet being extremely stable throughout. In layman’s terms, ever hear people talk about shaft feel or kick and not really translate that to your game because you don’t feel it? A few swings with Kinetixx Velocity and you will.
Have you tried out Velocity by Kinetixx? After watching the video from the THP Tech Studio, could it be the right shaft for you?
Excited to put this into the LTDx

Pure luck I picked this color but I do love it.
Last Saturday, I finally got back out on the course after 9-10 weeks off to try to rehab my back.
One of the things I was most looking forward to was hitting driver with the Velocity installed again, and it did not disappoint.
First drive was dead straight over my target (a tree). I wish I had known I’d hit it that straight and far so I could have taken on more of the pond. But hey, first swing (did not go to the range) in 9-10 weeks was straight with driver…hell yeah!
I struggled a bit after that…probably let confidence morph into expectations as I kept trying to hit that same drive as I did on #1. That nagging “what did I do right?” and trying to replicate it rather than just being free and letting it happen.
Anyway, I didn’t have any hooks, but I did have a pull, which resulted in a really good and long drive since I was aiming right side of fairway, and a few pushes. I recall being really happy with the average distance I was getting.
On #10 I hit a nice wind-piercing bullet that set up a short iron in.
On #18 I hit a nice high draw in between two trees in the distance. It’s a par 5 and was one of the best drives I have ever hit on that hole. I was right around the 200yd mark, but the flag was only 185ish.
I mentioned it before but will say it again: I am very excited to see how this shaft performs during a driver fitting sometime this month. I would love to find out that Speed + Velocity (why is this the first time I’ve typed this?!) is a combo that the fitter can’t beat for me.
One of the things I love about this shaft too is that it is $50-100 less than a lot of the other premium aftermarket shafts out there.

I love it too. I need to try your driver at the range next week! I don’t know if I liked the Titleist head or the Kinetixx shaft when I hit it last time. So I would like to hit the Rogue with the Kinetixx shaft

Pretty sure after yesterday we know this answer ? you hit some great drives with my set up! I LOVE this combo. I hit the Rouge head with the Velocity shaft farther than my TSI2. The way shaft loads up and powers through is a perfect fit. When I got the new Rouge head my coach and I tried my Accra TZ6 and we tried the Tensei blue stock shaft and neither produced anywhere near the results i get with the Kinetixx.
Bumping this back to the top as many THPers are assessing their bag make-up for 2022.
If you get the chance, I strongly encourage you to include the Kinetixx Velocity in your driver shaft testing. One of the best, most unique shafts that I’ve ever gamed. And, the blue is beautiful. :p

Its funny, because I am all over the place with it depending on club. Hybrid (Ballistic) its been 30, Fairway (Ballistic) its 40, and in the Driver (Velocity) its D30+

Right?
I’ve been pondering giving these a run in a hybrid or something. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Ballistic and the trajectory options? The fitting charts for the Trajectory seem to fit more into my swing speed than the Ballistic does. My driver swing usually floats around 100 during the season, so looking for something that compliments that well. I don’t really need help getting the ball off the ground, but I don’t want to hit low bullets either. I’ve traditionally played a mid launch in driver & FWs. Hybrids I’ve honestly just gone with stock in most cases.
I’m pretty happy with my MMTs in my irons but they’re not out of the question either!

Eh screw it. Gonna grab a Ballistic to try out in my Epic Super Hybrid. The cost of these I can get a shaft & an OEM adapter for the cost (or less) than getting just a shaft from another vendor. Time to see what else is going on besides driver here.

Should be interesting. I’m not sure I’d want a hybrid shaft to be that active feeling TBH. Would be nuts if this shaft improves on the ESH for me.

Haha! That is definitely fair!
May have grabbed another Velocity so I can do some head to heads with different driver heads. I fully expect this to again be my gamer this year.
Just ordered the Midnight Green for G425 LST driver and G425 Max 3 wood. Pix to follow soon. Saw great ball speed in the simulator at Club Champion.
Last Sunday, I hit a couple really good ones again with the Velocity + Speed combo. However, I hit a few pulls that I haven’t seen in a while. I also hit some with my other clubs, so I am chalking it up to getting lazy with some part of my swing. I didn’t sleep well the night before so for now, that gets the blame. I’m still excited about what I’ve seen so far from this shaft. Once the weather warms up, I will be trying it in the Epic Flash as well.

Velocity plugged into the ST Max for my next round
Well the Velocity hasn’t cured my everlasting driving woes, but I’m still really enjoying this shaft.
I hit some great drives with the Velocity + Speed combo yesterday. Thankfully the pull miss was mostly gone but that means my usual straight push miss was back.
The driver fitting I had scheduled a couple weeks ago got canceled due to weather so I’m still eager to see the numbers from this combo.
If I remember, I think I’m going to try it in the Epic Flash this weekend.

I’d need a magic wand to cure my driving woes, a shaft can only react to the swing I put on it! With that said, I’m still really enjoying the Velocity and it’s not coming off my driver. It rewards me with a good outcome when I put a good swing on it, and it does help cover some of my swing faults for me – and it just feels great to hit.
I plugged it into a Rogue ST Max head for one round last week and saved myself about $550 in the process. It still felt good, but I wasn’t getting any better results from the Rogue than I do from my Mav Max, so the Mav stays in the bag for now.
