A few weeks ago, Odyssey announced an extension to their popular O-Works putters with some of the popular models coming in red and black. They recently hit stores and are becoming incredibly popular so THP TV wanted to get more information.
Sitting down with Sean Toulon, we have an in depth conversation about everything you want to know about the new line and more.
Why Red and Black now?
How did you choose the models available?
How do you choose a neck and head combination?
What is toe hang?
How the O-Works insert works?
And so much more.
Don’t forget that you can purchase these putters (or any product) from Budget Golf at a discount by using the coupon on the right hand side of this page (scroll up and turn off ad blocker). 15% off, just for being a THPer, on any item they have.
Great interviiew Dean! I thought Sean’s answers were very insighful, educational and entertaining, A ton of positive buzz about this line on THP and elsewhere.
I love the new red and glad to hear they listen to input from tour players. The technology that goes into these new putters are pretty unreal. Anything to help my game is a plus in my book. Never realized loft played a real role in a putter, I see guys de-loft it or put more loft when stroking a putter. I definitely to find the right loft or technique to maximize my putting performance. Great video and great questions!!
Well done, very informative!! Really enjoyed it!
Interesting how the red was developed. I’ve been thinking there was science behind it. I think they did well with their choice of Red. The toe hang now has me thinking about my stroke. Great interview Dean!!
This was great, first time I can recall hearing someone discuss launch angle off the putter. Toe hang discussion was also beneficial to understand who/why it benefits and what Odyssey products may work.
Enjoyed the talk and those do look great in red
Not gonna lie, the microhinge tech has taken me some getting use to probably because of the amount of underspin I use to put on my ball. My misses have been long so far so I know this technology is working and helping me get the ball rolling smoother and quicker.
I think I could listen to Sean for hours just talking golf…..heck, for that matter, just telling stories. Very cool man.
Fantastic interview Dean. Sean just has every answer. Learning about loft and toe hang very interesting. The colors are cool.
Thanks guys. Always a great conversation with Sean.
Great to hear this coming from Sean Toulon.
Also like hearing his take on the tour players and what they gamed and preferred, ie crenshaw playing the 8802 with 80 degree toe hang.
