At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. Who is ready to test the Callaway JAWS Raw wedges?
Callaway JAWS Raw Wedges
Last month Callaway released the JAWS Raw wedges in multiple finishes and they are hitting stores today. If you missed our featured preview on the technology, you can find it here. We want to find out how well they work in the hands of golfers who want to review them in our online community.
We are looking for FIVE THPers that want to test a brand new wedge for a period of a couple of months and report their feedback on our forum. At the conclusion of the testing, the wedge is yours to keep.
Criteria
We will select a group of THPers to test a Callaway JAWS Raw wedge
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
You will be reviewing the wedge for a period of 60 days.
How to Signup
Tell us which loft, grind and finish you want to test and why.
Are you able to review and answer questions daily or close on THP?
We will announce the testers later this week. If you are not selected and want to pick up a new Callaway JAWS Raw wedge, or are and want to round out the set, check out their website here.
Love that we there is a THP testing for these.
I really want to test the chrome 60° With the Z grind. I play a 4° bounce 60 degree wedge now and previously the C grind wedges. I would love to put this grind to the test in our desert conditions.
Yes play several times a week and am on THP daily.
54 degree s grind in black plasma. Would love to test it as I got 60 degree full face last year and it has been amazing, but would love to see how a jaws wedge in a 54 performs not only on partial shots but full.
I am available to provide feedback daily and answer questions.
Thank you for the opportunity!
As stated, I‘d go S grind to give a full compare to current gamer but hope one of the winners ends up with the Z grind. I’m intrigued with how that front bevel works as I tend to enjoy lower bounce wedges but fear the dig.
58 Z in black. I like raw wedges and I know the Callaway will spin nicely. The new grind is intriguing
Great contest, I would like a 58 degree black plasma I really like the looks of new Callaway jaws wedges. I will be able to post daily and answer questions.
Jaws Raw Black Plasma Wedge
58* Z Grind
i have a 54 Callaway jaws wedge and they are great. i would love to round out the set with a lob wedge/sand wedge
I’ve been playing a lot more since I got fitted and wedges are next up on my list.
My go-to is my 56*. I’d want to play the 56* S-grind 10 degree bounce in black plasma.

Hi there. 1st time poster and new user! Thanks for letting me play. I would say 58 or 60 and the bronze finish is just sexy. I would happily review and input. Thanks for opportunity.

Welcome to THP! Finishes are only Black Plasma (RH only) and Chrome for the new Jaws Raw wedges!
Good luck everyone!
Sadly my course/practice time would just not allow me to give a level of feedback that I would want to give. Sittin this one out!
I’ve heard these are the best wedges ever.
I would love to test
60° Z Chrome. Play twice a week and swing every day. Would be able to review multiple times weekly.
56* Z grind – Black finish
I believe the tri grind would help me with a variety of shots around the green, not just in the sand. (y) Plus the black finish is cool!
Right handed 54 S grind chrome with a graphite shaft, if possible. Would be a good comparison to my current Cleveland RTX Zipcore 54 10 degree.
54*12 W (RH) in Chrome – I consider a good wedge player around greens, but I’d love to improve consistency around 100 yds and this wedge might help me.
Yes, I live by a golf course that allows me to play whenever.
Black Plasma, Z Grind, 58 degree
Awesome opportunity!!
I’d go with 52* W Grind in Black Plasma finish.
Why? Cobra MiM 52* is needings ome competition to stay in the bag.
Can absolutely provide feedback on it. (y)
What an awesome opportunity!! I hope you guys can give a female a chance to review a club. I would choose the following if chosen:
54°
S Grind
Raw Chrome ?
I love chrome!!! I haven’t replaced any of my old clubs so this would be the perfect opportunity. We have a work golf tournament coming up in September and would love to show it off. Thank you
One of the benifits of callaway wedges is opening up the face is so easy and easy to trust as you don’t have the leading edge about a cm off the ground. The back finish in the 52,56 and 60 would look really nice with the x grind on the 56 and 60 with that extra confidence of opening the face and the s grind on the 52.
Lots of new members joining up today! If you don’t end up getting to be a tester, hope you guys and gals stick around since there is always a ton going on here and an opportunity to test or go to an experience what seems like every week!
I’d love to test a 58 X grind in chrome.
The X seems like a great all around, versatile grind in the lob spot.
Wow this is such a cool opportunity! I’m a fairly new member to the forum, long time lurker, occasional poster….love what you all have built and do here.
If selected I would choose the 58 degree Black plasma in the Z grind. Currently play Black RTX Zipcores at 52 (bent to 51), 56 (bent to 55), and 60. These wedges by Callaway look [emoji91]. Have never played a Callaway wedge before, have heard nothing but great things though.
I can offer reviews and post daily. Hopping on the forums since I’ve found this site has been a habit I can’t and don’t want to quit. I can’t get enough of all the equipment reviews and golf talk.

54* S grind in black plasma. 54* is my workhorse wedge and it would get the most use, so best option for me to test it out. I’ve always gone with a chrome finish, so it would be nice to try a black finish. I’m on the forum daily so no problem checking in to review/answer questions.
This could be a fun comparison!
I’d try the 60º z-grind in chrome!
Shinny new wedges! I’d love to read about these wedges, and possibly test out one? (y)
48* S Grind 10 bounce. I use my current PW for everything from full shots to green side chips. I think I would test out a 48 degree a lot during the round.
I would like to test Jaws Raw Black Plasma 50* 10* S Grind Wedge – Graphite shaft? I look forward to trying the new groove spin, see what the shifting head cg feels/plays like and if possible, testing a graphite shaft in a wedge for the first time.
I am routinely on the forum, very willing to provide review, feedback and answer questions.
Tell us which loft, grind and finish you want to test and why.

Left handed Chrome 60* X Grind, thanks for the opportunity
I would like to try the Jaws Raw Black Plasma 56 with the S grind. I’ve been struggling with my short game for the last couple of years, and I think that’s what has kept me from lowering my Hcp. (I’ve stayed at a 10 for the last several years). I’m retired, I play twice a week and practice (esp. short game) once a week, so posting and answering questions would not be a problem. Thanks for running contests like
this and trying to get feedback from average golfers!
Yes please. I picked up a set of Ping Glide 3s Eye 2. I did my best to match with the Ping Zing Sand and Lob wedges. The profile looks good but I believe the Glides have more bounce (54deg 10, 58deg 8) which causes major problems on the VA Fairways. My old clubs are in storage but luckily my son has same Zing Sand. Took his out and had an easier time of it.
I would love to test new Wedges with less bounce, just not sure what I would need. Semi retired and I play every week. I check and bother everyone everyday on this site?
Damn I wish I were playing consistely enough to be able to give adequate reviews so I’m not going to enter, but I’m looking forward to reviews as I’m due for wedges for next season
Excellent testing opportunity. 52 / 10 S grind for me. Good luck everyone and enjoy to the selected testers.
I would love the opportunity to test the Callaway’s — I have only used Titleist Vokeys previously, so curious how they measure up.
I would like to test the 50°/10 S Grind Chrome. I find I use my 50° wedge the most from the fairways and around the green.
54*
Chrome Raw
S grind
I use the MD5’s currently and would love to try one out and report back on my findings.
52 degree black S grind, for glare reduction.
True test for a approach wedge is how good the standard sole is. I have no doubt RC’s is mint. Haven’t hit a RC designed wedge since he left Cleveland, and want to try one again.
Black 56* S-Grind
I switched to a 54 degree a year ago and have not been happy with it. The 56* should be money for me.
Good luck everyone, these look amazing!
54* S Grind, black plasma
Man these are sexy!! After doing some research, the Black Plasma 58° Z Grind sounds like just what I need for those tight lies around my greens and out of the bunker.
Thanks THP & Callaway for this amazing opportunity. Good Luck everyone!!
54 degree
S Grind
Chrome finish
This would be fun to compare against my Full Toe Jaws 58 degree that I currently bag.
58°
W grind
Full toe Chrome
I have been contemplating swapping out my 60* for something newer This would be a great replacement.
I would love to test a new Callaway wedge in a 54 degree w-grind in chrome raw. So curious how a 54 would play out since I carry a 52 and 56, I think the split would be cool to try out. I think it would be easy to post reviews since I just set up a chipping area in the back yard…
Ladies 58 ° Z Grind Raw Black Plasma
58* Z hero grind, chrome lefty.
I want to test and see if the Z grind’s tri level sole with the skid pad really reduces digging, and I like to play square and open face shots around the greens. I’d be able to play 3-4 times a week to share my thoughts.
I would want to test the Black Plasma 54° in the S grind. For my course the S grind works out best for our conditions and my game.
Chrome raw face. 50° Z grind!
Just replaced the set SW with a JFT 56 and loving the spin etc. Seriously looking at replacing the GW now so thus would gap perfectly.
And the Raw finish would look perfect. Hove me an interesting set of Raw, Full Toe and PM Grind in 50, 56, 60…
I’m on here daily…

z grind
Great opportunity and Thank you
Hi would love to test the z grind 60 degree. My home course is partly links and the sand in the bunkers is not very deep although the bunkers are very high – typical links style course. It would be good to see how good this wedge is out of this style of bunker. It would be a great opportunity to test if it is as good as callaway say.

I’d totally be in on testing a 56* S grind in either finish. My go to money maker has been a Cleveland 588 56* in gunmetal, and for quite some time. Would love to see how Cleveland out-Cleveland’ed Cleveland.
I would love to test the 56 Black Plasma S Grind.
I know you asked for Wedge that I would want but its hard for me to say. My favs were the Zings I played that has a unique relief on trailing edge. I am finding the Bounce on the Glide 3 Eye 2s just dont agree with me. I am unable to find pics of the diff grinds by Callaway, although my prefered profile would be the High Toe and it looks like only grind is C. o_O
