You didn’t really think there would be a release cycle and Tour Edge wouldn’t be joining in, did you? Not only are they coming to the party, but they are also making it Exotic.
This year marks the introduction of Tour Edge’s new Exotics 723 lineup of metal woods and according to the company, this might be the one that takes them to another level. If you are reading this, then you already know the rocket ship which the brand has been on for the past four to five years not only as an innovator, but doing it as the best bang for your buck in all of golf.
With 722, Tour Edge brought their “E” (Extreme) and “C” (Competition) concept over to Exotics and it was one of the best decisions they could have ever made, and it is front and center with 723. In fact, it is the basis to their 2023 tagline, “The Powerful and the Accurate”, and if performance backs up the excitement coming from Tour Edge this might be one to remember, especially in drivers.
Exotics 723 Drivers – Key Technologies
There is a lot going on under the hood, and on it for that matter, with the new Exotics 723 drivers. Every year Tour Edge continues to surprise me with just how they manage to balance maintaining success with absolute fearlessness to bring in big design additions. Every year I believe they can’t do it again, and then they do.
Foremost, Ridgeback is…back. There is no way that Tour Edge was going to change the single design feature which catapulted them into new levels of performance even for a company with a history of it. It is present, but I didn’t say they didn’t change it. The Exotics 723 features what the company is now calling 360 Ridgeback. The design is now 15% thinner than last year and now runs down the spine as well as all the way around the entire perimeter of the clubhead. Why the change? According to Tour Edge it has added support on off center strikes which means more stability and MOI. Thinner, stronger, and more stable also means more powerful.
The move to the 360 Ridgeback did also necessitate a change in how and where the carbon fiber in the 723 would be applied. The perimeter ring means that there is no longer any wrap around of the carbon from crown to sole that the 722 models used. What is wild to think about is even with that change there is 5% more carbon fiber in the 723’s compared to last year. As always, 5% may not seem like much, but with it comes more ability to manipulate the CG to fit the specific needs of the E and C heads.
Another return, the most under talked about face technology in golf, Diamond Face VFT. For those not familiar, this is Tour Edge’s variable face technology, the key differentiator to it being the use of diamond shapes of different thicknesses to create the speed and retention profile which fit each head the best. This year, there are 61 individual diamonds of 7 different thicknesses on the face. More than that, they are thinner than ever at the heel and toe of the face which seeks to add even more playability on lateral misses.
However, as I said earlier, Tour Edge is fearless when it comes to making big technological additions, and for the Exotics 723 drivers they are debuting their new Flight Tuning System. This is a moveable weight track placed at the extreme trailing edge of the two driver heads (yes, it is on both models) and although we have seen the Exotics line use a track before with the EXS Pro, the shaping with the E723 and C723 drivers is one of the most unique tracks we have ever seen in any driver from any brand. The track is part of a 20g weight equation in each head which has increased MOI from the 722’s by 5% in both models as well as offering significant flight tuning.
As you have seen, there is a lot of technology packed into these drivers, and each head is utilizing it all, though in some slightly different ways.
Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver
The C723 is “The Powerful” in Tour Edge’s new 2023 tagline and rightfully so. This one is built for speed and distance, all starting with two traits that perked my ears up as a massive fan of the original EXS Pro driver, that this head is 445cc’s and it is deep faced. This head has its 20g Flight Tuning System weighting split between interchangeable 15g and 5g weights and at standard the heavier is in the track with the lighter in a forward port only on the C head. What is interesting is they can be switched even with one being a movable track, and that movement means up to 300 RPM of change along with putting the MOI at 4900-5300 g/cm2 (quite impressive for a 445cc head). The sliding track also accounts for up to 7 yards of R/L flight tuning according to Tour Edge.
As always, Tour Edge is utilizing their adapter in the Exotics C723 with makes for +/- 2-degrees of change for the 8.0 (RH), 9.0 (RH), and 10.5 (RH/LH) heads. Stock shaft options for the C are the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Blue 65 w/ Xlink (R, S, X) and the Project X HZRDUS Black Gen4 (5.5, 6.0, 6.5). The C723 will come in priced at $499.99.
Tour Edge Exotics E723 Driver
As for “The Accurate”, that would be the E723. This one is a full 460cc’s and has the highest MOI rating of any driver Tour Edge has ever produced in the Exotics line or outside of it at 5600 g/cm2, a 5% jump from last year. More than that, it is a neutral head which, thanks to the Flight Tuning System, has 10 yards of bias adjustability depending on the placement of the 20g weight at the rear of the head. The E723 is all about maximizing forgiveness and launch, without sacrificing distance potential.
The E723 will be available in 9.0 (RH), 10.5 (RH/LH), and 12.0 (RH) and also use Tour Edge’s adapter system for 2-degrees more loft adjustability either way. Stock offerings for this head are the Fujikura Air Speeder (L, A, R) as well as the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Blue 65 w/ Xlink (R, S, X). As for price, the E723 comes in at $449.99.
The Details
Tour Edge’s Exotics C723 and E723 drivers will come to retail on 3/1/23 along with the rest of the 723 lineup. The fact that the company has kept both drivers sub $500.00 given all the tech they have clearly packed into them is yet another amazing accomplishment. But the story will always come back to if they perform, so be sure to stay tuned to THP for more on that, very soon!

Got 12 holes in tonight and hit 4/9 fairways. 4 of the misses were just off the fairway. The only bad shot was one where I was trying to sling it into the wind and double crossed it. Still haven’t had a penalty or a drive that left me dead.
Had the chance to hit it off the deck as requested by @kiwichris. Hole was dead into the wind (hence the first drive distance) and was sitting pretty so I tried to sneak one between the bunkers. Actually got some decent launch but didn’t cut like I suspected. Apparently should have used it on the green too ????

221y off the deck into the wind…sure I’d take that
Interesting session tonight, need to clean up the numbers cos I was getting some really goofy numbers on ball spin on decent shots.
Uneekor Overhead system, not sure if it didn’t like the Tour Response Stripe.
Finally got the E723 out for another round, and it continues to impress me. So, E723, 10.5*, Ventus Blue 60R, Adapter in the 10.5* Upright position, and sliding weight moved to the Draw side. Having the adapter in this position squares the face up for my eye, and is the position I used in my previous TEE drivers. Moving the weight to the Draw side matches what I’ve been most successful with in my previous driver, a Ping G425 LST.
I got to my local course right behind a pretty steady stream of walk-ons, so I was told I’d probably move along better as a single if I started on the back nine (membership has it’s privileges ). No warmups, driver off the tee on this short par-4 10th, and my worst drive of the day, a popup that barely made it to the fairway, probably only 175 yds or so, but hey, it was a fairway hit! After that the driver played really well, this course only has nine holes that I hit driver on, par 70 course with six par-3s and three others that I hit less than driver, but I did hit 7 of 9 fairways with the E723. After that first tee shot, distance was very good too. It was CPO, with pretty wet conditions, and virtually no roll out in the fairways. I was measuring my drives with a handheld Garmin GPS, finding the balls either plugged or right by the ball marks, and drives ranged from 215 to 230 yds, which is very good for me since it was all carry. Ball flight was my typical mid to mid-low, and most were dead straight.
The forgiveness of the E723 is still a real eye opener, as I was missing some out on the toe, and didn’t really see any negative results form those misses. I still think the sound might turn off some, it is a bit on the loud side, doesn’t bother me any, I’ve had loud drivers before, but some may find it a bit much. The adjustability definitely works, the upright position on the shaft adapter definitely squared the face, and moving the sliding weight to the draw side straightened out the bigger than I like fade that I was seeing with the weight in the neutral position.
I also took a few more photos:

Most camera based monitors like solid white golf balls. Was the Uneekor in front of the hitting area? (Eye XO). Also, don’t take too much into any club data from Uneekor. I heard they’ve had a recent software update that gives some odd club readings. Ball data should be ok still with clean reads.

It is. I was getting multiple 888 back & 222 right ball spin numbers, some 200 and mid hundred ones as well.
Meant hitting more to get a good number set. Haven’t had time to scrub numbers but the Ventus is a really good shaft, love to know how it stacks up against its more expensive bigger brother.
OK, data dump time from my simulator session last Wednesday. All using the same ball from the weekend round (TM Tour Response Stripe). Launch monitor was a Uneekor Overhead. Both drivers set to the same UC setting, C723 is 10.5* loft, C721 is 9.5* loft. Wasn’t able to finish the shots for the C721 with the TPT 15 Lo shaft as I ran out of time and monitor would not pick up the ball correctly.

Decided to try the LinQ White on the course today with the C723 because internet golfer. Even though it feels like there’s some juice in that shaft, the bad dispersion I saw on the sim carried over to the course. That being said I used allll the face and still haven’t had a penalty or had a ball that didn’t have an approach shot, and still ended up with 3/5 FIR today.
Back to the Smoke Blue I go. Any suggestions for what I should try next based on that shaft still being the best for me so far?
I’m thinking about putting my UST Elements Chrome in the E723 for the next time out, and saving the HZRDUS Smoke Blue for later. If I ever get my net put back up I’ll run all three shafts (Ventus Blue is in it now) head to head on the personal launch monitor.

The Project X Smoke Blue RDX shaft has an EI curve with a very pronounced soft middle. It is also counter balanced.
Any shaft with a stiff butt, soft mid, stiff tip bend profile might feel similar and are fairly common as they are a design that works well for a lot of people.
A couple of older Project X shafts that have a similar bend profile are the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow and their Loading Zone shafts. The Graphite Design Tour AD VR might also be similar. The newer Ventus TR Blue would probably be a good match too.
Twenty rounds of golf in so far with the Tour Edge C723 driver.
The C723 is proving to be very dependable.
After a few hundred shots on the course with it I’ve learned a few things:
The driver is very forgiving and unless I make a truly horrendous swing the result is usually very playable. Very few penalties off the tee.
When I put a good swing on it the C723 is as long as any driver I’ve ever had.
My driving stats have improved since putting it into play.
The deep face makes the driver very difficult to hit up near the crown. Those of you prone to making sky marks this maybe a driver for you.
The driver is durable and it looks brand new after 20 rounds and many practice sessions.
My only pet peeve is that the rear sliding weight channel picks up grass that requires removal with a tee or brush.
Overall, I really like the Tour Edge C723 Driver and it is staying in the bag.
Ok, C723 gets another bite at golf today. 9 holes booked for this afternoon, I will have 6 holes where I can use driver, if wind is helping I may have to drop that number. Biggest hole I’ll be worried about is the 7th where it’s water left the entire hole and I’ve been struggling with pull hooks (setup issue, not the driver).
Will also do another quick bucket of balls with my ESB1, setting changes today are moving the weights, 15gm front to try to bring the launch down some.
Due to the generosity of THP and Tour Edge – being the lucky winner of the March Madness Contest – I will soon be apart of the Tour Edge Exotic crew. I was super tempted to go with the highly customizable C723 but really need a fairway finder at this point in my golf journey and opted for the E723 and the Tensei AV Blue 65 w/ Xlink stiff shaft. I have ~105 mph swing and my most frequent misses are a straight push or hook.
My current driver, the 2016 Taylormade M2, is 7 years old now so I’m thinking it’s possible I gain some distance and accuracy. I am not sure what time frame I’ll be receiving it but I am looking forward to getting it in the bag and sharing my thoughts.

Due to the generosity of THP and Tour Edge – being the lucky winner of the March Madness Contest – I will soon be apart of the Tour Edge Exotic crew. I think you’re going to love the driver. It just feels explosive and has proven to be a very forgiving option.
Ok, finally found some time to update the thread with yesterday’s performance.
This is an absolute beast of a range driver, long and forgiving.
Unfortunately I cannot translate that to the course right now. Used it 5 times and only found fairway once (longest drive with water all left and my miss had been predominantly a pull/hook).
Basic stats tracking until my ShotScope arrives but here goes:
Hole 2: 339yds
Caught ball inside for a gentle fade, didn’t swing hard, distance approx 269yds leaving 76 in, 2 putt par.
Hole3: 576yds
Bad swing, high slice to long rough right side, approx 285 off the tee, 3 hybrid and chip to 6ft for par.
Hole 5: 401yds
Another bad swing, pulled far left into the scrub but long enough to leave a tough pitching wedge in front. 145ish. 2 chips and a putt for bogey.
Hole 7: 378yds
Best swing and drive of the day, tracked to 310yds, middle of the fairway. Proceeded to chip multiple times and putt for double ?
Hole 9: 485yds
Decent swing, left it to far right and found right side rough leaving approx 188 into the green.
If I can figure out why I cannot get a consistent swing on the course, this driver is going to put me in really good position.
Another outing with the E723 today, this time with the UST Elements Chrome shaft. Not the latest-greatest shaft out there, but a very good shaft that worked really well for me in my original TEE EXS driver. The Elements Chrome shaft is super smooth, it is a counter-balanced shaft, which is something I seem to really get along with, and my contact was much more consistently around the center of the face. The course is still on the wet side, and the fairways are being mowed a bit on the long side, so like last week’s round I wasn’t getting much rollout, if any. Drives were mostly straight, a couple of slight fades, and one dead pull that went really long. Driving distance was 210 – 225, except for that one pull that went 240. Hit five of nine fairways, two of the misses were just off the fairway, and the other two were further offline, but still in play.
The distance I’m getting may not sound like much to some, but for me it is pretty good, seeing that its close to being all carry. Once our courses start drying out, and I start seeing some normal rollout, distances are likely to be a bit longer than what I was seeing with my previous driver. The only negative with the E723 so far, which I have mentioned before, is that it is a bit loud. Not enough to be a big issue for me, so I’m pretty sure this one is a keeper, and it is very unlikely the Ping G425 LST will make it back in the bag.
Here are a couple of photos of the E723 with the Elements Chrome shaft:

That’s a really nice look. Glad to hear about your continued success.
Played last night and hit 4/5 fairways with the C723 back with the Smoke Blue shaft. Wasn’t exactly finding the center of the face either. This driver continues to impress.
Here’s a comparison to my LTDx LS I gamed last year via Shot Scope. 15% increase in FIRs is nothing to scoff at and based on SkyTrak the playing average will continue to creep up as the course conditions keep improving.

That’s what I saw with the E722 vs the LTDx… Cobra was better on flat out distance, but I hit the fairway more with the E722 and it wasn’t close
Awesome comparison
ShotScope H4 has arrived, currently configuring etc and setting up tags. Not sure when next round will be. Will try this weekend but definitely 2 & 1/2 rounds next week guaranteed.
Looked at my last sim session & it’s leaving me in a pickle on what shaft combo is best. TPT is out for now.
Shot Scope update, TEE 723 line up is not in the database, had to do a support request to add.
Mid 70s here and pretty crispy conditions so saw some more distance with the C723 tonight. 3/5 FIRs, 291 yard P-avg, and 2.12 SG vs 0 hcp. Have rounds scheduled for tomorrow and Saturday and can’t wait to get it back out there.

Sounds like you have a shaft, setting & weight setup that you are really liking, awesome feedback.
4/8 FWs today and 288 average distance. Almost had my first penalty due to a big double cross, but found it and hacked it out so we’re still good ?

Wait, it drops double crosses as well??? Stop it!
Shot Scope update: 723 line is in the database, at least from the drivers but I’m also thinking to the future for the next equipment drop.

To get new equipment added, just email Shot Scope support ?

I did, and now we have it loaded! ?
Played 45 holes (so far) this weekend and weekend stats with the C723 are 37% FWs, 303 playing average, 287 average
Looks like I’ll be getting another round in with the E723 today, and at a more driver friendly course this time. It’s going to be cold, and maybe windy, but we have more wet weather coming in tonight, and for the next couple of days, so thought I’d get out while I can.
Cold and windy, put some pretty bad swings on the ball, but honestly, not a bad day with the E723 driver. Adjustability and forgiveness are still by far where this driver stands out, but I’m also getting better distance than what I was seeing with my G425 LST. A good example was the first tee, with the wind but uphill, pulled a bit left missing the fairway, and still went 240 with very little roll (uphill in the rough). Unless I completely mishit the ball, which I did a couple of times, the E723 definitely does it’s part, and I’m really liking the shaft change I made, going with the old UST Elements Chrome.

How’s your ball flight compared to your previous driver @OldeDude?
Granted, I tested a 9 degree head, but definitely flatter for me than some others I’ve tried recently.

Ball flight is a little higher than the G425 LST, likely due to a bit more spin, but I’m normally a low / low-mid hitter anyway, so ball flight is still pretty flat and penetrating. That’s one of the reasons I’m impressed with the distance I’ve been getting so far, as I usually rely on some good rollout with that lower ball flight, and the conditions I’ve been playing in just haven’t been allowing for much if any roll. I’d say ball flight may have gone from low / low-mid to low-mid / mid, which I’m guessing is due to some added spin and to more ball speed on less than perfect hits, giving me more carry.

That all makes sense to me. Appreciate your feedback – all of the TEEm’s for that matter.
Bad swing night with the driver and broke my penalty-less streak. Was surprised how far a couple went based on how I swung/hit them
27 holes planned for next 2 days, tomorrow will be at my regular course, same adapter setting but switched weights front to back (15gm front now).
Once I hit the last setting we’ll, I want to bring that launch down a little if possible through lower spin.
18 on Friday will be an absolute experiment, no equipment changes but playing a course that is long, forced carry’s or layups.
9 holes yesterday turned into 18 as the weather we had meant huge cancelations of tee times and the course was wide open.
Also meant I got to try out my shot scope for tracking.
Again, cold swings, no warm ups and first drive was a long and straight but into the rough leaving a 105ish into the green. Second, exactly the same result.
Third drive was a dream, into a hurting wind for middle of the fairway and 262 yards leaving another long wedge into the green. Par 5 was right unto the teeth, not a good swing and the wind took it and turned it into a slice to the right side rough and 240 yards. 4th drive was a lazy poor swing that pulled into the next fairway but almost 300 yards with help. My favorite hole now is the next par 5 where the wind and a good swing meant 353 off the tee (shot scope distance) leaving 130ish downwind to setup eagle putt.
Also with no one on the course I finished in 1 hour 53min.
Another 18 today!
As I get more tee time use with this driver, I get more and more comfortable with it.
Yesterday’s round was another discovery round, I’m struggling with setup but when I do get it right, I find that an easy swing gets great results.
Best drive of the day was 323 (wind assisted) to setup a look at eagle. This is an easy club if I take care with setup and not trying to swing out of my shoes.
wanting to try the E723. Have read some good things about. Has anyone tried the Ping G430 or Callaway (core) Paradym X or either to give a comparison. The E733 is on my radar

I haven’t tried any of those, but I’m getting better results from the E723 than my G425 LST.
I’m going to start putting my review comments on the E723 driver in the E723 Driver Review thread, so you will be able to follow along here: Tour Edge Exotics E723 Driver Review
After a poor round across the board over the weekend I felt back to normal with the C723 tonight. Hit 4/6 FWs. One miss was a pull but playable, and the other was more or less where I wanted but the wind didn’t take it like I expected. Living on the toe like my irons at the moment but doesn’t seem to be costing me much.
Apart from 1 goofy fly ball that disappeared and one long drive downwind that I think drunk idiots picked, man this driver worked well again.
Forgiving, straight, long.
Another round tomorrow planned, course that will be a good test for it and me.

How is the ball flight vs what you were playing previously?
After over 30 rounds with the C723 driver it was bound to happen. Had just a terrible round and several penalties off the tee. Everything seemed out of sorts yesterday, not just driver.
My Stack system training has definitely given me more speed and distance, but yesterday I felt like I just had no control. One shot would be brilliant, exactly where and how I intended, the next just god awful.
Hoping it is a function of the fact that I didn’t golf much this week because of a few rain out days and then taking four days off to go fishing while my brother was here. Seemed like when I came back to the course that I had very poor awareness of where the clubhead was in my swing which led to poor club face awareness and also not much sense of where the low point of my swing was.
In general though I’ve been in a bit of a funk this year. Handicap index has crept up to 6.3 now from 3.2 last July. Getting more Double Bogeys than I’m used to and it is disheartening.
Saw some progress a few weeks ago and then lost it again. Golf is a very humbling game.
On the bright side, picked up off of EBay a used Tour Edge EXS Ti-Utility iron. 25 Degree 5 utility. I have the same club in the 22 degree 4 utility and have really enjoyed it as my 15th club. Was wanting to try the five for a while now to see if it would gap better with my other clubs. Was the only bidder, got it for a steal, just $19.99. Payed almost as much for the shipping as I did for the club.
