Today we want to give that tested driver away to a lucky reader (courtesy of Budget Golf), so follow the instructions below and take your chance at winning the new for 2018 driver from TaylorMade Golf.
One of the biggest technology stories out of the new lineup is something TaylorMade calls Twist Face and to learn a little bit more about that here is a THP Quick Tech with equipment expert Michael Vrska breaking it down.

There was a lot of info there, I had to watch it twice. I think the tech is something I need to check out.
Didn’t understand the twist face concept now I do. As some one who hits the toe shot every now and then this will help on those such shots.
High toe is my normal miss. If this addresses that error then it would help me. Held one today and it looks great.
Really enjoy how he broke that down. I’ve been curious about this, but he really explained it in a way that made much more sense to me than what i thought it was. Sounds really interesting. With my misses with the driver matching what he mentioned quite a bit, this sounds like something that could actually be really helpful for me. I’m truly intrigued and would love to win this.
Well this is now something I definitely want to hit. I would love to be able to get the loft on my mishits off the toe as that seems to be my favorable mishit. Thanks for the awesome giveaway THP.
Good break down on the twist face tech. I think I would benefit from this driver with my low heal strikes. It would keep me in the fairways and help lower my scores.
Good review. Thanks
The gear effect of twist face could really help my high toe shots out instead of playing from the left rough . Lower my scores and keep it in the short grass
For someone that creates too much spin, I won’t if this would ?
Interesting, always good to see new technology come along.
anything to help my misses I am into try! thanks
Vrska really breaks down how twist face works in a very simple manner, explaining how the gear effect can help a misshit.
Sounds like twist face helps high on the toe, which would benefit me as I sometimes get those duck hooks when I make contact out there.
Interesting concept. I would be interested in seeing how this performs as I have a tendency to hit it off the heel occasionally when I really try to get a hold of one and end up leaning forward. Taylormade is one of the best out there for sure.
Good explanation of how its a new take on bulge and roll. I feel like everyone can gain from this advantage.
Honestly, this was one of the better explanations I’ve seen that was so marketing focused. To get a better understanding of the science and technology and how it impacts play gives me a better sense of the product. I think that the new twist face focus on accuracy is a key for us regular golfers. Helping me feel more comfortable about club impact/accuracy may help me get set up, swing plane and motion into better form. I really appreciate the explanation.
I meant was not so marketing focused 😉
Since I only hit the sweet spot a couple times per round, this driver is for me!!
This is an interesting concept. To have the ‘twist face’ conform to your high toe hits or your low heel hits and still have the center hits perform. I would like to try it as I do have both the high toe hits and sometimes the low heel hits with bad results.
Twist Face intrigues me. As someone who doesn’t hit the center of the face often enough, I like hearing the help this gives to off center shots. I’d be very curious to see and talk about the results
Good info
Love the video
I know I need all the help I can get to keep the ball on the fairway, and my swing is definitely NOT robotic
Especially interested in testing lower heel as that is my worst miss.
Could use this technology to help my off center hits. I am not a robot and have always questioned robot testing. Most of my hits are a little off center and would love to not lose power and accuracy.
It is interesting tech for sure. Would love to see if it works for me.
Brief and to the point!
Reasons why I need this driver!:
1.) I had a string of Taylor Made drivers and woods but lost confidence (and balls) in Taylor Made drivers since I had fail with the RocketBallz line. I’ve tried numerous other brands since and still can’t find that loving feeling I had in my early Taylor Made days. It’s time to go back!
2.) My primary mishit is, as Micheal mentioned, most common on the high toe sending my ball just enough offline to the right that I’m punching out on a majority of my 2nd shots (or worse, taking a drop). The driver is my #1 asset on the course, when it’s on, I’m on. When it’s dead, so am I…
3.) Newest Callaway and Cobras I’ve tried seem good on perfect contact, but are NOT forgiving (for me) on mishits off the toe, heel, or anywhere else I’ve found. While demoing those clubs my mishots off the toe were almost dead on contact. My demo of the 2017 M1/M2 line was impressive (especially the M2), but I’m afraid of changing my bag now that I’ve regained confidence in an a 2010 model (beyond time for an upgrade!)
4.) I’ve signed up for 1/2 dozen amatuer tournaments for the year and would love to step up to the first tee confident I’ll find the FW~!!
5.) What better story to tell than how Taylor Made and THP helped solidify my game (more so than you have already)!!!
Good review, and it makes sense…I’m not a robot and I can’t hit perfectly like a robot. I like the concept of TwistFace and think it might help my game!
Michael explained the twist face very well. Anything, everything that helps us high handicappers find fairways, play faster, score better and enjoy the game more is highly beneficial. I would love to put my inconsistent, non robot, swing up against twist face and what fun could be had.
Micheal did a good job of explaining the benefits of the twist in a brief manner, which I appreciate. Especially pointing out its intention to help on those high face or low heel mishits. I tend to hit a little low on the ball and think the twisted face may offer more help in that regard. But will definitely go and get fitted on the M4 to see what the right loft and shaft combo can do for me.
If this can help my high toe miss-hits, then I’m all for it!
Been taylor made golfer for years. Have most all the drivers in my garage including the bubble shaft thru the M1. This new twist face sounds even better. I am 67 years old and still shoot in the low 70’s thanks to taylor made.
Thank you Taylor Made
I usually mishit low heel so I believe this would help give me more accuracy along with distance
Great info that made the technology easy to understand. I think this driver could help me gain more consistency off the tee and go for it more over my 5 wood or hybrids.
As others have mentioned in this thread, I would love to try something that might offer a little more forgiveness with the high toe miss. It’s something I have struggled with over the last couple of months and the twist face technology has me very intrigued that it may be something I need to try.
I love that its actually geared torward a golfers weaknes toe/high/heel/low
I don’t hit the sweet spot all the time, the new twist face technology is absolutely what I need.
Thanks THP and Taylormade for the Contest. I think the twist face would help me on the low toe mishits. I’m very curious about the bulge and roll and how the face impacts that.
What I appreciate about this video is how clear the sound was. By having Michael talk into a hand micorphone, rather than an on-camera microphone, I was able to clearly understand the speaker. Because I am a crappy golfer, I have a lot of miss-hits and I believe Twist Face technology will help me stay on the fairway.
Breaking down the technology was really well done. I feel that this club could be a really big help with my usual miss (a little high on the toe side) and maybe even improve FIR stat
Love the breakdown on the curvature of the face how its going to help with those toe and heel misses. Also got a kick out of having real people hitting the golf balls versus robots. Would certainly help my game being that I often miss to the right and the twist-face technology would improve my percentages of keeping those misses right near or in the fairway!
I miss on the toe way more than I would like. I think this could correct my miss and make my golf days more enjoyable. Great info in the video.
The twist face explanation was what i didn’t understand that made it more clear
For someone who has played TM drivers since the 500 series days, TM has really dialed in the accuracy factor. Dialing in dispersion is a game changer and can be the difference from hitting your drive into an unplayable lie vs. the fairway or first cut. Accuracy makes the game easier especially if you can improve distance. Great technology
Great video. Jam packed with info that was easy to understand. I know that Twistface could help me because my driver miss hits tend to be off the toe. Also I love the adjustability of the club! Thanks for the chance!
Too be honest i didn’t feel like I learned anything more from this clip that wasn’t explained in the review but wouldn’t mind achanceto win the driver ;P
There is a lot of info in there, but I am already familiar with what the technology entails. I know it would help my game as I am not one that usually hits the sweet spot on my driver. Really hoping to try this out for myself!
I really like what he had to say about twist face Technology. I’ve been doing a lot of research since I heard about this driver coming out, put a lot of money aside for it. My 7 year old son got intrested in golf and I signed him up for the 1st tee And had to buy him clubs And shoes so that’s where half of my money went for it.
I have a high toe miss, so this could be a huge benefit to my game. Great stuff as usual!
Year old hacker. Would this concept help my pull-hook or push fade? I’d love to find out.
Great explanation and would help my low heal miss. Already playing the M2 3W and 2H so the the M4 driver would be a welcome addition
