Just from a venue perspective..I would second these.
Maybe one of the courses around the casinos in Tunica, MS would be fun too...THPers and Casinos, what could go wrong?
I think Chicago area would be good. Sort of centrally located for 5-6 states and it's got a bazillion courses.
Yup - Dancing Rabbit would be an awesome place with the two casinos and 36 holes of golf right on site.
How about Asheville, NC with dinner afterwards at a brewery or any place that serves a plethora of there locally brewed craft beers. There is some tasty stuff that comes out of Asheville.
I would like to suggest that THP needs a solid series of west coast stops, not just a single event:
One stop in the PNW. I would love it to be Portland for obvious reasons, but there are so many really good courses that it could be Tacoma or Bend or dare I say, Bandon.
Then a stop in the bay area.
Then a stop in So Cal. Maybe the OC so LA and SD THPrs can meet in one location.
Then a stop in Vegas or Phoenix.
Columbus PA? yes, i live there. lol
yeah dude, Dayton wasn't that bad anyway...
actually, with an Invitational being only a Saturday event, it would make the drive back on Sunday much nicer.
I'd be up for Ashevegas as well.
I agree.
I'd also like to see Dallas myself. I'd never wish you guys to have to come to Oklahoma. Yuck.
Chicago would be my first choice, followed by Indy and Ohio.
Gregory Hines. Tapping.
JeffreedMo is wise!
I would love to see one in Florida, even though the Outing/Demo Day is held down here, I think it COULD be a big draw with a great crowd on a phenomenal course. I am taking it upon myself to make the Florida THP contingent bigger and better than some of the mini-outings we have had lately, in hopes that we could draw an Invitational to our area in the coming year(s).
