BRIDGESTONE BECOMES OFFICIAL LICENSEE OF COLLEGIATE TEAMS LOGO GOLF BALLS

COVINGTON, GA – Just in time for football season, Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball Fitter in Golf, announced today that on September 10, it will kickoff a college team logo golf ball program. Bridgestone has entered into an agreement with 19 major colleges and universities to produce officially licensed team logo golf balls. Under the agreements, Bridgestone has been granted the right to manufacture and sell golf balls and golf ball packaging bearing the official team logos. Financial terms and length of the agreements are undisclosed at this time.

Bridgestone’s collegiate team logo offering will feature Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Louisiana State, Miami, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Washington. The team logos will be available on any model of Bridgestone Golf’s robust golf ball lineup through its Custom Logo department. Also, a Special Edition Custom Team Package (pictured below) of Bridgestone’s award-winning e6 ball will be available at retail locations around the U.S.

“College football brings out passion in people like few other things, so we’re excited to offer golfers the ability to show that team pride on the golf course this fall,” said Corey Consuegra, Golf Ball Marketing Manager - Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “With more than 190 million college sports fans across the country, we believe our college offering will be a great addition to Bridgestone’s already successful collection of industry-leading golf products.”

For information on Bridgestone Golf’s entire portfolio of award winning golf balls, that will now be available with collegiate team logos, visit www.bridgestonegolf.com.

Big Time will like these!

I like the added touch, however the pic should have shown a OSU box instead of that weird one with the cow and horns

Going to have to get some Yellow Jacket golf balls! Very cool.

Hell yes.

OU B330-RX's? I'm happy.

Im buying.

How they don't have a deal with the finest college golf program in the NCAA these days (California) is a head scratcher. Dang. I surely would have have sprung for some logo'd balls...

COME ON DUKE, get with the program!

I love all of the passion but I hate that I never went to a US school so I dont have strong ties to any. I'd really like a school to be passionate about.

You don't have to go to a school to be passionate about it. Many programs have legions of fans that have never stepped foot on campus or even gone to any college. Find a program you like and start following.

Pretty cool! Hopefully this will expand out to some more major colleges and maybe some other pro sports.

Cool! Though I notice a distinct lack of Virginia Tech in the lineup!

Just look at Miami. 97% of their fans didn't go there, or let alone graduate high school. That doesn't stop them from being devoted enough to throw hunks of ice at girls or curse at children in parking lots of stadiums.

awwww...yeah!!! I want me some BullDawg e6s.

Hopefully they come out with some good schools later down the road.

Reading through the list I thought they pretty much nailed them all

For those of you who don't know me I handle PR for Bridgestone. I try not to post too much so I don't become the thread killer PR guy, but in all seriousness, I wanted to respond to this post and share some info. Bridgestone does currently offer a full NFL and NHL logo program. For NFL, Bridgestone offers logo balls, custom e6 packaging and bags that can be embroidered with team logos. Coming soon to the NFL logo items are Bridgestone Golf NFL team logo caps too. As for the NHL, Bridgestone offers the logo balls and custom e6 package and those snazzy backpacks that were so well liked on here, also are available with NHL team logos on them. The NFL and NHL logo items are available now via custom orders and at some select retailers, with exception of caps (expected to hit retail shelves this later this Fall).

Pretty excited about this. Like Bridgestone balls and love me them Huskers, so this should be pretty perfect. Wonder if I could play an all red ball.

Pretty cool for the sports nuts!

Bridgestone tried to make a Duke version of their golf balls, but the only shot you can do with them is a flop.

(I'll be here all week. Remember to tip your server.)
