The Official Rant of the Day

Daughter wouldn't sleep again last night. We looked at her mouth and her tongue has a sore on it that basically covers half of her tongue. My wife started crying when she saw it. This really is the worst feeling, not being able to help your child.

Ricky - While not as immediately serious, we have been dealing with sleep issues with my older son for years. The one thing that it has taught me is that there are always other doctors. If you are not getting the help/answers you are looking for from your normal pediatrician or others, keep looking and take her elsewhere.

I feel so bad for you my friend. I really hope you can get it figured out and get that little princess smiling big again. Thoughts are with you guys that it can get figured out quickly.

Sorry to hear about your daughter Ricky. Hopefully you guys can get to the bottom of it and get that little girl better!

Thanks Donne, in the past month we have taken her to her primary care pediatrician, 2 ENT specialists, a rheumatologist, allergist, dentist and infectious disease. The ENT we saw Monday at least has some sort of a plan. We need to bring her for viral bloodwork on Friday and he started her on an anti-viral medication in the mean time (which I still dont have because the Pharmacy screwed it up twice). If the bloodwork comes back negative then we are going to have to do a biopsy of her mouth which as I am sure you can imagine, is not something I want to have to do.

Work and not THP events.

I hate work. I like paychecks, though.

I work two jobs ad love them both. I must not like paychecks though, hahaha.

Ricky I hope they get to the bottom of this soon! It's got to be stressful for the whole family to have to deal with this not to mention the discomfort your daughter has to suffer though. Prayers are with you all :thumb:

I like my job too! :act-up::D

Sorry to hear about the little one not doing well right now. Will keep positive thoughts and prayers headed her way and some peace of mind for both mom and dad. Stay positive Ricky.

Rick, like I told you last night I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can to the little one brotherman.

My rant is golfing alone, its sad and depressing after a THP event.

So sorry to hear this Ricky. I will keep saying prayers and hope you get some answers for the princess really soon.

Sorry to hear this Ricky (may I call you Ricky? We haven't met but I feel like I know you a little through THP). As the father of 2 girls, I've been there with the feeling of helplessness when they are in pain or sick. It sounds like you and your wife are doing all the right things and your daughter can sense that, and that is a powerful thing.

You coming to FL in July?

Nice dude. Holiday week with the 4th being that Friday.

Yep, would ideally be home for the 4th, but if Amanda is working then it won't matter.

THP Store towel release time coordinating with my morning blood pressure reading time is not a good combo.

Got a new medicine for increased focus and memory function.... I cannot remember if I took my second pill for the day.... I think it's working

That would have been an awesome pill for cramming the night before a test in college!

My company reworked our logo a few months ago and whatever brilliant soul put the letterhead together did the header and footer as one big picture. I spent a good half day taking it apart and putting it back together so it was at least useful. Fast forward 4 months and I pull the letterhead for another office & guess what? That one is all jacked up too. I spent 20 minutes trying to remember how I did it the 1st time before saying "F it!", they'll just have to deal with Dallas info & not Corpus.

Went to my car today to head out for an errand. The door wont open. Have to yank it open and it pulls a bunch of the paneling apart. Dang it.

On an unrelated note, we didn't get invited to a party this weekend because the boyfriend of a friend of my wife is insecure. All her single friends were invited, all the ones with husbands were not. Seems that her friend said that she wasn't sure if her bf would get along with us educated men. Are you kidding me? LOL. Wife isn't concerned, she said he is creepy and I'd probably want to leave five minutes into meeting him.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I just feel like she had so much to offer, and one quick decision took it all away. Funny how quickly things can change.

Sorry to hear bro. I have been in the same boat a few times, depression is a strait up b*tch. Most people hide it very well but it's a real PITA.
