We use a wood pellet burning insert for our main heat source and propane as a back up. This is the only winter in 3 yrs. that we have had to burn our propane to maintain the house at a decent temp. Keeping the pellet stove burning clean has been almost a chore and with the extremely below average temps we have been having I suspect our heating bill for the winter is gonna be at least 50% more than what we normally spend and that's with brand new windows this yr.

We're in the midst of a heat wave. It's 30 right now.

The high Monday is -8 with -40 wind chills.

Sick of this garbage.

I'd take that he at wave we are in the middle of a 2week teens to subzero temps. Its been so cold the eggs from my chickens have been frozen when I go out and collect them.

We had to buy a couple little space heaters because the heat pump was not keeping up with the artic blast. Southern heat pumps are not accustomed to the kind of lows we've had this winter.
