Check the price on yellow vs white flag. What they think of some stitching! :D

Awesome - hope you two have a blast and looking forward to the photos later!

Looking forward to hear how it goes. Cant wait to see the pics.

Have fun! Looking forward to pics and daily writeup of your activities. Father/Son at a major. Doesn't get much better than that! Did that with my dad and one of my brothers at the 2001 USOpen. Great memories.

IMO, practice days are the greatest days to go to. I went to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the US Open at Congressional, and had the most fun by far on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was way more crowded on Thursday, and on the practice days, players were govig autographs left and right! I only got one, but it was the only one that mattered: Phil himself signed my hat (in my avatar)! Have fun ad enjoy!

just caught wind that webb simpson just aced the par 3 15th during a practice round... everytime i hear about a guy jarring it on a par 3, i think back to those old PGA ads: these guys are good...

Shhhh....he is one of my sleepers for this weekend. :D

I am envious. Have a good time and share what you can - especially the stuff we never see on TV!

awesome, lets see some pics!

Got home a couple hours ago, and my son and I had a great time. The course is definitely more hilly than I thought it would be, and it was about 94 degrees today. My 8 yr old made it until about 2:30 and then hit a wall and was completely worn out. We got to the course this morning before 8am, picked up our tickets and went to get his flag for autographs.(sorry johndeere, had to go with the white flag for the full embroidery) After that we headed to the range, where not too much was going on, as about a third of the field was already on the course. We headed down 18 and found a good spot by the 18 tee so my son good get autographs and we could wee all the guys tee off. As we got there Adam Scott was getting ready to tee off, so that was pretty cool. After we got our spot, my son's first autograph was from Luke Donald. We got to see quite a few guys there, including KJ, Rory, JB Holmes, David Toms, Hunter Mahan, and Paul Casey, to mention a few. We then proceeded to the tee box on the par 3 17, which is not a shot I would want to hit, at 207 over water the whole way. Down 16, then the 15 green, we got to see Phil, Dustin, Steve Marino, then Rickie Fowler. We then headed back to the putting green and range to see if Will could find Tiger and the heat started to drain him. So, we wrapped up and started to head home. I was a little bummed when I put Golf Channel on at 6 and found out Tiger was on the range and had played a quick 9. He must have teed off shortly after we left. It was a fun day, and the course is very long and challenging, and I will watch it a little different seeing part of the course in person. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my experience and enjoy some of my pics.

Cheers,
Chris

How tight is the practice area, for a minute there I thought Sergio was chipping on the green

Great pics. The flag is definitely the way to go for autographs. It looks great afterwards, got mine from the Oakmont US Open hanging up on the wall.

That is it for my highlights. I am going to go relax now, as I have to go back to work tomorrow. I am still strongly considering going back Sat or Sun.

That is actually the chipping green over by the driving range. The putting green is a good 300-400 yds away from the range and chipping green.

Do you know how far 15(the par three) was today? Thanks
