Last month we got a close up look at the new Tour Edge Exotics 721 irons. The lineup consists of the C721 and E721, each offering a different profile. It is time for another TESTED! where we put the gear to the test and show the swings and data and then break it down for you.
In the video below, we offer a little bit of background on the irons about to be hit, but if you want the full preview of the technology, click here. Then hop into the hitting bay with both sets of the Tour Edge Exotics 721 irons and finish it up with a breakdown of the data from the swings you saw.
After watching that video, which one of the two do you think would be your choice? For more information, check out their website at www.touredge.com.

This is great stuff!
They are available from their website now and I was told in stock.
Still not on the demo/trial page though
regardless still might order a 7-GW,AW set
Larger than the ZX5 and slightly smaller sole than the zx4.

is the order ZX4, ZX5, 721?
No sir. 721, ZX5 and then ZX4. 721 looks larger in the image, and heel to toe it might be, but sole is slightly thinner than the ZX4.
E is out the window with that sole – guess I just need to see the C in the store.
I try and measure the Sole width in the center, toe height and blade length. It’s not scientific with calipers (I use a soft measuring tape).
here are some recent ones I’ve measured to give you an idea if how the E721 measures.

If you want any others let me know. I have a bunch measured.
Keep your fingers crossed maybe they will come as a surprise.
I keep looking at this video, there’s very little testing on these except for you and 2nd swing. Both show the e with lesser loft spinning more. I play some very tight lie courses where the sole on the e looks like it might bounce too much but damn you’re talking about a reasonably high spin rocket launcher in the e. I guess I’m just asking if you think the e would spin more than the c, loft for loft, strike for strike.
Thanks
I think it’s worth taking into consideration that the design concepts of the two irons are different, and SHOULD present different numbers if all things are equal. Whether it was a combination of me just getting along with one better than the other, or whatever it may be, I’m always glad to show my unedited results (minus some technical difficulties here and there) so you can judge for yourself.
It could be (for me) something as simple as weight balancing or swing weighting to get to where I want to be with the E.
It could be totally different for someone else.
There is a very good chance I’ll be able to shed some light on this soon, based on who we have scheduled for the Off Course Podcast. If I can make it happen, I’ll ask your question so you can gain some confidence.
Don’t have to Jones much longer man!
TEEm Tour Edge should be able to give you some info soon on the C721 irons. All 4 of us choose them. They should be arriving soon. Let’s us know what you would like to know about them. One member choose the rdx graphite shaft option. The other 3 went with elevate 95 steel shafts. Be glad to help you out.
I may buy a set and do some comparisons with the JPX921 HMP to see if they can provide more distance and similar or better dispersion.
C721 would be more comparable. The e721 is pretty large and chunky. Solidly in the GI/SGI space. They are larger than the regular 921 HM
Have not hit the HMP did hit the 921 forged Didn’t get the warm fuzzy feeling to replace my KFT with the 921s. I’m guessing that the C721 will be in the line of the KFTs. Will they bump the current set out of the bag. Maybe anything is possible. Only time and testing will tell. After the success with drive I’m less and less skeptical about the 721 iron release. @Jman you can hit mine whenever you want. Hell if they show Tuesday I’m not supposed to full swing any club till Friday. But what do those Drs know.
