Looks like he should be making moonshine later this evening.
DJ sir that wasn’t very good
Oh, Westy…
Hovalnds approach lands just about 5 feet too far and now he’s got a tough one coming back up.
Is Sergio going with the capris tomorrow, or saving them for the weekend?
Seems the group on 3 forgot where to hit the ball. Those were all 3 pretty bad shots
That shot by Hovland that rolled off the back is the STORY OF MY GOLFING LIFE!
@MWard these guys are making 3 look like the most difficult driving hole on the course haha
#3 doesnt feel like it should be this difficult based on the @ddec and @MWard preview. Am I remembering this hole wrong?

That shot didn’t quite deserve that disrespect. It was a really good iron shot, these greens are just *firm*

I mean if they struggle with the tee shot, wait till they have to hit that short approach from out of position.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (aka Bizarro @ArmyGolf) at the top of the leaderboard! -2 thru 3.
Spectacular pitch from Hovland there.

Nope, Hogan once said you don’t try and take them on. Granted, this was back in the 50’s and 60’s but… Still not wrong. 4-5 iron out there, give yourself a number. Missing short left of the green even is a terribly tough shot.

If it doesn’t rain, anyone who can’t hoist some iron shots this afternoon is in for a tough round.
BTW my man Champ with an amazing 4 putt from 15 feet below the hole on 3 today.

Ain’t that the truth. Time to play front edge numbers boys, gonna be a long day.
What an up and down for Hovland there. Classy touch.

Not gonna lie, I raised an eyebrow at that darkhorse pick. He can bomb it, but statistically? Not a great wedge player or putter. Hits it pretty low too all things considered (relative to some of the other guys anyway)
Interesting card so far by Viktor.

Firm and Fast was an understatement…. these greens are tough
Love the masters, let’s go

I don’t like anyone above 50 who hasn’t won it before. He’s a flier and hope for an above average putting week. Since Jeremy scolded me for trying Conners haha

Picked CB to be my darkhorse – I’ve watched him on the ET and he can play.
That was good poise on the tee as the ball sailed by him.
Just watched Champ’s four putt from 18′, excellent fourth putt .
Bubba that was terrible
Wow, those greens are looking….well, not green. Ouch.

I mean what does Jeremy know, he didn’t write half of a near Emmy Award winning description of Augusta National. Just disgraceful comments from him, really 😥
Hovlands mom should call in a penalty on him again today for his horrible clothing choice.
Hovland wow 3 birdies for the E
What a turnaround there Hovland. That’s one way to shake off the nerves of the first hole.
I guess Hovy was just spotting the field a few shots before dropping the hammer.
Hovland, way to fight back to Even part after starting with that triple.

I was thinking that. But it is against the rules to say anything bad about Augusta. You just eliminated all chances for you to ever attend. lol..
You gotta read the fine print..;)

That he did. But he’s Tiger. Viktor can’t chip, by his own admission:LOL:
9 and 10 degree launch angles from those 3. Amateur hour. If you’re not in the mid to high teens, get out of here.

Nobody bounces back from triple and quad bogeys like Victor Hovland.

You know.. As I typed that I was thinking “This dude has probably already gone”.. Well at least you got to go once..
BTW can I throw out there how much I love the masters website? The fact that I can follow a guy like Champ and see all of his shots on a very slight delay is just awesome.

I thought for sure he was making that…ANd then the usual happened.
I think he will get it figured out though.
Those greens are FAST. Crazy how much these soft putts are rolling by the hole.

They’re rolling true, and they’re fast, but I agree, especially for Thursday they are not their usual perfect selves. I remain pretty confident they will not have anyone hosing them down between pairings on Saturday.
