Last month the Titleist TSi driver line debuted when it began hitting tour bags and appeared on the USGA conforming list. Today the lineup becomes official with the TSi 2 and TSi 3 drivers and fairway woods.
We have spent the last few weeks testing them in the THP Tech Studio and in this video have a little bit of everything. Since the release is new, we thought it best to cover the gamut in this video rather than just the testing. First up will be Josh Talge, VP of Marketing of Titleist Golf Clubs talking tech and then we move right into the data and break it down for you.
We have a lot more coming on the Titleist TSi drivers and fairway woods in the coming weeks, but after watching this video what are your thoughts?
Agreed on that second part.
My club head speed is similar, and I’d be very happy indeed with results like that!
The 3 is not as low spin as you would think. Or maybe a better way to put it is Titleist has never been the leader in low spin. That’s not a knock and may even be by design. Spin does create stability. Where Titleist has always feel short was in the ball speed department. They seem to have fixed that here.
For me the TSi3 in the current set up vs. my SIM spun about 2-300 more. Still in a very good range and those numbers are not exactly apples to apples. The sim seems to launch a little lower so I went for a 10 degree head vs the 9 in my sim. So that alone could be the sim difference.
Settings right now is 9*, B2, T1, +4 gram weight w/ Ventus Red 6X 1" tipped at 45". People looking for low spin might need to want to hold off for TSi4. TSi3 definitely feels more like a playable lower spin head over the super low spin models of SIM or Subzero.
3 wood and 5 wood still showed a lot of promise. TSi3 fairway definitely seems closed. TSi2 13.5 elevates the ball easily and seems to be in a good window. TSi3 5 wood can hit moonballs which is fun.
This is first time hitting off a grass range. Turf conditions were soft, tight, and soggy. Even with the funky conditions fairways were easy to hit off the deck.

oh for sure, 2,200 is great, maybe even a tad low. but he’s swinging 6 up, 6 from the inside with a closed face. should be high push draws, that usually have low spin. and when i hit tsi2, i was hitting up on the ball a lot that day, and it was tough to get up to 2k spin.
not your handcrafted?
I think that’s well said. That’s why they never won out for me. Right now I can really lean into my 10* and not worry quite as much about a very low spin one, while cranking out some serious ball speed though. It’s nice.
I dig this thread. I like hearing what @M2Giles is noticing about the strike location. My miss is high on the face and I haven’t had it quite as often, or quite as dramatically with this driver. I’d wager my average strike location is a hair lower. That’s interesting.
Edit: freaking auto correct. CAN really lean into, not can’t.

It sounded better before you rounded up. ?
I’d really be interested to try a Ventus Red in mine. Sounds like a killer looking and performing combo.
It’s a great looking combo only thing weird right now is the combo only seems to work at extremes. Smooth swings and bomber swings feel good. Those stock hard swings are currently no bueno. Those stock hard swings result in the low strike right now but bomber and smooth seem to work great.
I will try and get this on the course next weekend. I see a lot of potential here right now.
Negatives. Whatever material they used on the TSi3 for the thing that holds the movable weight is a pain to clean. From hitting on a mat I have those green fibers and they seemingly fused to it. I had to take a knife to basically cut it off and even then it still remains. Never had this difficulty with cleaning a club before.
When I was fitted for the first time at the Titlest Event in 2018, I found out I needed a low launching driver. Completely opposite of what I thought when I made the Handcrafted. I still have it and display it. Will always be proud of it, and maybe as I get older and the swing speed slows down I can go back to it.
And if you can try to hit an easy one, and accidentally hit it 300 through the fairway, while playing the @Canadan national anthem of all things!!, you must be swinging something pretty dang special.
I went blue..

I support you. ??
Misses all day were to the right which kinda sucked but are not that unusual for me. What was strange was I fighting the ball from turning over during my one outdoor range session so I need to work on something. Right now club is in B2 and weight in T1. I may move the weight to H1 based on today’s performance.
That said I still hit some absurd drives today. The best bejng a 300+ carry on one of the par 5s resulting with a gap wedge into the green (yes, I converted for eagle). Cut the corner a little bit more aggressively than I wanted and the total yardage was 354 according to GPS.
The fairways were equally impressive. Note, both the TSi2 and TSi3 do look a little closed at address but they don’t perform like it. Again, I saw a miss to the right but I’m not sure if it was more swing or not. My playing partners today though we’re stunned with both the 3 and 5 wood. The 3 wood was easy off the deck and super long off the tee. The 5 wood was pretty automatic pretty happy with both.
Was the TSI3 fade bias during these sessions?
No both A1 neutral only difference is tsi3 is 9* with ad xc 6x, TS3 10.5 with ad di 6x
Do you attribute the higher launch to shaft at all ? I’ve heard/read that the tsi3 is flatter/ lower launch…….
We have a full video in the first post of the thread with some data.
I caught one a little low on the face into the wind. I almost never catch one low (usually the opposite) so the feeling threw me a bit, and watching it spin up a little gave me serious concerns about how far I was going to have left to the pin. It must have had some impressive ball speed off the low face though, because it wasn’t near as penal as I thought it might be.
Ended up missing 1 fairway on the day, and just checked my recent stats. Really balanced. The head continues to play pretty neutral for me.
Great info! Is this driver in the number one spot in your bag or would there be another you would choose if you had to go shoot your best score?
Oh it’d be number one for that without a doubt. I might change the setup a little for a situation like today, but it would still be with that driver if I had to choose one. There is one coming that will get consideration though.
Not sure if that’s coming through in my posts so I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that.
edit: oh, but @PowerCobra98 beat me to it by like a minute!! lol Easy club to love.
The interesting thing is that as good as the driver is, the 3 wood is generating some pretty amazing ball speeds, too.
Mine did…until the face cracked! Still waiting on the replacement…
That was such a bummer. Hope you get it soon.
Hope to hear something something soon. Gonna swap the 4 wd for a 15 degree 3 wd I think. I already have the TS2 4 wd so.
I haven’t had as much fun with the 3W. It’s not even coming close to my mav sub zero setup, honestly. It’s just a bad shaft-head combo for me and I haven’t had time to sort it out yet. We had a new indoor sim place open here I heard though, so I might get more chances at dedicated monitor time to work on things like that.
Can’t wait for winter to end.
merged this one with a full review thread including our video shot in the Tech Studio.
I’m 55 and the added distance and penetrating ball fight still amazes me every time I hit it…and don’t forget about the SOUND!

Where are you seeing a weight kit for sale?
Was on Ebay last night for $199. I also had gotten a quote from DDs for $249! Yikes.
My club guy calls with a surprise……10* tsi2 with tensei regular…….
But having the ts3 for a minute and finding my shaft (LAGP REIGN SILVER) I wanted to give it a run…..
STABLE……I guess that’s the word to sum it up…..the higher MOI (ping like) just keeps this club steady going through impact…..
I’m a lefty and I loathe a hook …..with my SIM I lived towards the toe and got knuckleballs ……
If today’s round is an indication of golf to come , then I’m in a happy place.
?. Excited to get mine on a course again. Hopefully a trip to Myrtle will be in my near future.
When you thinking?
Dunno tbh. Hopefully in Jan if the weather there looks good.
I’d see if you can get an appointment for a Titleist Thursday event and see if they’d just mess around with the weights specifically (that is if you already own a TSi). Then you can order just the one weight you need.
Considering this.
