Last month the Titleist TSi driver line debuted when it began hitting tour bags and appeared on the USGA conforming list. Today the lineup becomes official with the TSi 2 and TSi 3 drivers and fairway woods.
We have spent the last few weeks testing them in the THP Tech Studio and in this video have a little bit of everything. Since the release is new, we thought it best to cover the gamut in this video rather than just the testing. First up will be Josh Talge, VP of Marketing of Titleist Golf Clubs talking tech and then we move right into the data and break it down for you.
We have a lot more coming on the Titleist TSi drivers and fairway woods in the coming weeks, but after watching this video what are your thoughts?
Great idea!
The 3rd party weights will likely hit ebay in about a month or two. I may buy a kit there.
If the "factory" weight kits are really that much money then I’ll for sure just pick up some aftermarket weights on eBay once they start showing up. I mean a weight is just a unit of measure…no more…no less. I could care less if it’s an "official" Titleist weight.
Yeah, I have a kit for the Cally Mavrik and it worked great. Was $50.
Hey, take that over to the fairway thread, where I’m already considering that one!
And then buy it, and tell me if it’s worth it. K. Thanks.
umm… well… it’s worth it..
I would be curious how you make it work in your bag. It’s true usefulness.
I cranked it down to the lowest loft setting it goes to. This is a perfect 4 wood at 17.25 It is playable if the tee and from the fairway..

Holy crap that is some ball speed!
I know, that sucks. You were doing some pretty exciting things with it.
I suddenly fear for that nets life/well being. And everything on the other side of it. You don’t have any children around there, do you? ‘Cause DAMN! ?
Haha. You would still have to give me like 8 strokes.. haha
rdx black 80.
Noted. I’m in Arkansas as well ?
would love to help you out with this one.. ??
Thanks for being there for me guys.
its not just that it is you.. If you get the chance, you always take it.. hahha..
If you are going to continuously beg for it, people will eventually comply. I just would never do it with white socks. ?
I am presuming TSi3?
Idk i need a fitting.
I would predict the 3, since you tend to fight spin. I don’t think there is a huge difference in forgiveness. Looking forward to an update.
You get me.
Oh man. I kind of forgot about all the people getting deferred salary checks about now.
Don’t make up your mind until you hit them. The 2 might surprise you!
I got you!
That’s a combo there. Great shaft to keep for future drivers too.
I finally tried the TSi2 on trackman today.
9* head with the RDX shaft in 6.0.
I put some hot garbage swings on it and it was going dead straight (relative to the ball started to go) with some great distance!!
The look/sound/feel is all that I expect from Titleist as well.
That’s the most stable and forgiving Titleist driver I’ve ever hit.
I need to remind myself that this stimulus check is going to other necessary items!! The temptation is STRONG though.
I believe in my fitting I started with a 10* head and then was ultimately fit for the 9*. Everyone is going to be different since all swings/#’s are different, but for me the 10* was spinning too much and the flight was what you explained. It stalled/did not get the carry/roll that was optimal for me and my swing.
And obviously now you’re content with launch conditions? May I ask swingspeed and expected carry with 9* TSI2?
Yes, I believe my driver SS was in the high 90’s to just about 100. Average carry was around 240ish, totaling out at about 260ish. Which gave me about 20+ yds more than what I’m used to on both.

Unsure of my actual carry and total distances but what I’m not seeing is weak strikes that just fall woefully short(even for me!) I’m going with massive ball speed retention….. face material? ?
Probably a little of everything, what I saw in my fitting and on the course was as long as I hit the face (anywhere) I still get a usable result with not a huge distance loss. When I find that middle area that’s sorta boxed off, it flies.
YES! Better stated than what I tried to convey……thanks for clarification
It’s pretty dang good. Looks great, feels better and an almost effortless shot shape.
Sets up well for my preferred shot shape, baby cut, & launches high.
What were you playing previously? Are you seeing similar distance as your previous driver?
I was playing a TS3 that I was fitted for when they came out. Distance is better as well as dispersion.
I always wanted to hit a draw ever since I started golf, but now almost a decade later I absolutely love hitting a cut. IMO you might lose a touch of distance, but at least when you miss far right it doesn’t go in east ba-jeezus like if you hooked it.
Lawrence the young bomber played the high draw but hit the occasional snap hook……
Lawrence 2.0 short hitting and old plays a nice cut which also very easy to get through the ball for my body……extremely repeatable and fits most courses
I may start looking at my TS3 differently now.
Me too, then I got the hooks.
