He really is. And Jman, your pace of play will get faster because it rubs off on you! I don't know if you take practice swings, but by halfway through you will probably not do it anymore! haha
 
So Saturday looks fab, but who gets the pleasure <choke> of my company on Sunday? You guys might have to draw straws to decide who gets the newbie :)

oh ive been fighting a massive hook now its going the other way i over adjusted it seems .. hopefully i can split the difference come staturday ... got one more lesson tomorrow to get right before then!

i actually get to work on the way up as well ... we have a data center in austin and i need to stop in to replace a drive that failed last night.
 
Happy to see the pairings. Now I am really pumped to get down to Austin. Went out last night and bought a gps to make sure I don't have any problems finding the place. Don't want to be late for any of this.

GG/JB: definitive dinner plans yet? Curious if everyone will have time to get cleaned up before meeting. Guessing that golf should be wrapped up by 3:30.

Also, I will be canceling the 3rd Sunday tee time - definitely not getting used.

I can assure you I will be showering before dinner and drinks. Its 90+ degrees outside and I am assuming most Texans also like to be clean for eating (is that a poor assumption). :D

I don't believe we have a specific place in mind yet but I know we definitely want to get dinner and we want it to be true Texas BBQ...it's all JB has been talking about for 2 days now. : )

For an update, we have stopped for the night near the LA/TX border and if all goes as planned we will be taking off before the sun rises in the morning. We drove through some of the nastiest rain storms we have ever seen. That was rockstar driving by JB because those were some scary conditions.
 
Wind and rain and a big bill board size vehicle driving down the Hwy. lot's of fun.
you'd never think something so heavy could Hydroplane but.......
Hopefully you all didn't get the heavy rain.

As I said earlier in this thread, I've owned a "THP Tour Van" and I know exactly what you're talking about. It's horrible to be caught in storms while trying to navigate that big bad boy. Winds constantly throwing you around.

Im not sure, but there seems to be a pattern here...last night near the Beau and tonight I'm guessing near Lake Charles. Is there a casino theme going on here?!?!? :D. I'm guessing after those bands of storms you drove in, JB is probably spent at this point. I know there's a lot of stress and tension during the drive.
 
Ha - not a poor assumption JB!

Sounds good GG, we can defer to the locals that know their BBQ and call when done with golf to at least give the place a heads up. I will likely have a few extras with me that are in town as I am guessing a few others will as well.

Spazzdog - there's your answer! We will make time for everyone to get cleaned up. Ha
