Thanks buddy! It's going to be hard replacing my superfast 2.0 3W but this club might have just done that.Nate, that is a solid choice!

I went with the 3 deep and the 5 which I suppose is a little better than the two 3 woods and a 5 I went with last year. Of course I have the 13* 3 deep coming my way and I plan to wreck some fools off the tee with that beast.
my reasoning for going 3W on the J40 side of things, plan on using that club off the tee quite a bit
I can't imagine you stripping that bad boy off the tee. It may catch your driver! Glad to see you got your order in early pro.
Man this thread is on fire today, I love it!!!
Almost so much action people forgot that JB dropped a format nugget this morning!

Mike what shaft did you go with in the 3+? Are you still not getting along with your driver?

Not quite.

Still not where Id like to be with it, but I'll get there eventually.
These courses require preciseness over length more times than not, so having options is good!
I pondered and discussed with thp inventory specialist war eagle quite a bit. I never intended to carry it all the way through, wanted something softer and higher launching for non drivers and hopefully I went the right way.I agree with that fo sho. Just wondering why you decided to switch it up and go with a different shaft then your driver? B-fit influence? Or just better results?
Yes this is 50 questions Mike. Ready! GO!

Thank you so much for the update!!!I just heard from Cobra and the irons were slightly delayed because there are out of stock on the AMP CELL Pro GW until June, so those sets will be sent out without the GW for now and as soon as they come in the GW will get shipped out separately.

Just wondering brosephsaurus. Sounds like you got a lid on it. I'm still getting used to this shaft business. I hope you hit it well...........but not too well.......
I am more confused than ever after reading the last few pages. Just tell me when it is my turn to hit the little white ball.
I want the one with that involves the clown and the windmill
Im just looking forward to having the formats laid down in front of us and continuing on in the journey
Dont care what they are
Dont care who gets mad about it
Dont care who im paired up with
Dont care who im playing against in them
Just make sure you stay hydrated. Drink even when you are not thirsty and remember to get some food in you too because you will be using more energy than what you are probably accustomed to.
i am bringing a ton of 1st tee bars and banannas for the rounds. i prob will only eat small things throughout the day and try to get a big breakfast in. i don't like eating at the turn especially if i'm playing well.
I really hope that people take the advice seriously. Long days in the hot sun. More humid than any outing has ever been. Then think about the mental drain which fatigues you faster. Then add all that to the fact that most are not getting wonderful night's sleep and you have a recipe for some people just not having "it" for a match or two. So whether you think you need to or not, think about the team that you are a part of and for this last 60 days, go nuts to be in the best shape you can be in. You will be so much happier that you did.
I did have every intention of knocking some weight off but sadly I have not succeeded so far, I am merely maintaining where I am. I will pledge to my teammates and to my friends here at THP that I will work very hard these next 60 days to build up my stamina and be physically and mentally ready for this event.
This was right around the time I went into my 60 days out get fit campaign for the MCs.
Guys, I think many from the previous years will tell you, 36 holes in that heat and humidity is very difficult.
If you are not in shape for it, you are doing your team a disservice as the back 9 of the last 18 is extremely difficult on you.
Many guys had struggles finishing the rounds due to being either in pain or out of shape and had not experienced 36 holes in this kind of weather with the mental fatigue that goes with it. Do yourself a favor and work hard the last 2 months to get into the best shape you can. You will be happy you did.
I agree. I have always been athletic and the 2nd 18 was like nothing I had ever gone through before. People were dead and those that were not in shape (Im not singling anybody out) did not fare all that well after round 1.
We could join Tim down in Houston for a round to help us all get prepared......it is just brutal in Htown come summer.
It is such a different environment that people need to think about the emotional drain as well. My first match had so many ups and downs and was a tie after 18. After being that "on" all morning it was tough to get focused and into the second match. Rain delay helped me re-focus, but for guys that haven't played much competitive golf, it is a big change.
18 at TB for me is a hole i would consider my favorite hole in golf for a few reasons.
1. I holed a 90 footer during a practice round with Ddec, P4B and Tyno. It was one of the coolest things i've ever done and something i'll never forget for the rest of my live. How many guys can say the holed a 90ft putt.
2. My Sunday singles match went all the way to 18 and walking off that green i shed a tear. Walking off the green seeing all those people on the balcony cheering for us gives you an enormous sense of pride.
3. The green of the 18th hole of True Blue was where INgolfer took the first photo of me and my new fiancee
Glad to see some are going to take us up on the 60 day challenge. I promise you, you will be happy you did so. The idea of being able to compete for all three rounds is something that I think a lot of the guys in previous events wish they were capable of doing.
Might be a good idea.....THP/Morgan Cup sweatbands!I've got my headbands out. It's time to find a sauna for putting practice.
