The Burger Thread

I had an amazing burger last night. It was called the AM Burger and it had a perfectly cooked egg on top. It was glorious!

I made burgers for dinner. For someone who doesn't cook just about anything else I make a hell of a burger.

I don't understand the egg on the burger thing and it kind of grosses me out. I need to get some burgers on the grill soon.

Bison burgers are really good. Even had a kangaroo burger in London last year, which was very good.

We have multiple local bison sources here. Grilled bison burgers (w/ olive oil, salt, garlic) are part of our regular summer menu. I like 'em w/ extra sharp cheddar and bacon. So good!

The Dad's burger at Dad's Kitchen in the Curtis Park area of Sacramento. Juicy burger with bacon encrusted on the top of the patty along with bleu cheese. Make sure to have it with the bleu cheese habanero fries. Absolutely fantastic.

So there's a new burger/dog joint called the Dog Haus here. They put fried eggs on most of their burgers. I didn't think I'd be a fan of the egg part but surprisingly good. And deadly.
Oh and they only use Hawaiian Rolls for buns.

Umm yeah soooo going there to try out a burger or dog for lunch one day very soon. I'm down with that!

If you have a PDQ chicken joint nearby ours just started offering burgers... And they're pretty good. Best true fast food burger I think. Not as good as some dedicated burger joints, but a nice option if you don't want chicken.

I am with you on this one. I think there would have to be a lot of adult beverage consumption prior to placing an order for one.

you are missing out on pure goodness. It's a little messy but beef and egg just go so good together.

If it ever happens, it will likely be at a THP event...haha

A fried egg on a burger is so tasty with duck bacon and nice cheddar, onions

Interesting, we have a burger joint owned by the same people as PDQ. The burgers are pretty decent there as well.

Growing up there was a hole in the wall bar on the river that had ridiculous burgers. Sadly when Florida passed the no smoking in restaurants legislation they picked cigarettes over food, and the burgers were no more. I recently learned they had burgers again and went back out there, and they are as good as ever. It was an awesome discovery.

About to order another couple batches of Burger meat for the summer from Flannery's in Norcal. It's fun to do and not horribly more expensive than an upscale market. Some of the rib roasts and other cuts are insane but so are the burgers, which are economical and good.

I usually just get a regular blend but this time I think I'll go:

Prime Skirt Steak
Prime Chuck
Dry aged ends
smoked applewood bacon

Janice and I were out and about this afternoon and popped into Burger21. I've been there several times but it was the first visit for her. No doubt she'll be heading back, after the first bite all I heard was "This is the best burger I've ever had". She had a Black & Bleu and I went with the Bacon Cheesy. French fries and sweet potato fries on the side. Great stuff!

I'm not a fan of the egg on a burger idea. Only time I want an egg on my hamburger patty is when I'm eating a loco moco. I'm not big on all those crazy toppings. Standard toppings is good for me.

Best burger I've ever had. BLT in the mirage casino. Sadly they are no longer in business.

Nope put egg on it and its a no go for this guy, but then I do not eat eggs in any form if I can avoid it. The closest thing to me eating an egg on purpose is French toast.

May have to try that next time in Vegas. Only time I've had a burger in Vegas (usually go to Joe's Stone Crab or W Steakhouse) was Burger Brasserie in the Paris Casino - a very good burger if memory serves correct.

You should really try Gordon Ramsay's place in Planet Hollywood. The Farm Burger from there is by far the best burger I've ever eaten.
