Best Course You Have Ever Played

I cannot possibly narrow to a singular selection.

True Blue in South Carolina.
River's Edge in North Carolina.
The Clive in California.
Reunion Palmer in Florida.
Valhalla in Kentucky.
The Oasis in Ohio (regular rotation).

The more I think about this list the more I think about courses that really burned into memory some incredible lines...

TPC Las Vegas in Nevada.
The Club at Savannah Harbor in Georgia.

Really makes me want to travel more.

BTW I'm so jealous that Valhalla is on that list. I remember following that live round.

Some of the most deceptive greens I have ever played on. What an incredible day.

I am jealous of Bethpage.

Rivers edge is solid! They redid all of their greens a few years back too.

I would have to say Sea Island - Sea Side Course. It isn't what I would call in the "regular" rotation, but I do get to play there about once a year. East Lake CC is a very close 2nd.

Maybe National Golf Links of America or Shinnecock Hills. Bethpage Black is up there. Garden City is up there too.

Recently maybe Kinloch in VA.

Troon North was a favorite as well.

None currently in the rotation, but BPB was for many years.

Sand Hollow in Utah for me!

If I don't count the Hideaway it would easily be Sand Hollow for me too. Nothing mind blowing or anything but the course was in good condition, it is challenging but never feeling unfair, views are awesome, and it is one of the few courses in Utah that has actual sand instead of hardpan dirt. For a public course it is solid all around.

Best course in my rotation in Grand Cypress North/South.

Best I’ve ever played is very hard since I’ve played so many outstanding courses. Cascata in Vegas, The Floridian, Caves Valley, Towson, MD, Sahallee CC. So very tough to nail down one.

easy: old course at st. andrews.

top 3 would be harder to nail down

Good answer, good answer. :clapp::clapp::clapp:

Spyglass Hill. Lahinch GC in Ireland. Monarch Beach.
None of these are regulars since they're expensive as hell.

I've only been playing 5-6 years so I haven't played a ton of great courses. But my mother in law flew us to Jamaica a couple of years ago all expense paid. I paid for my golf for the week. We stayed in Montego Bay so I played Cinnamon Hill for 5 days through Christmas including Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Beautiful Course, highly recommend!

Pebble Beach is my all time favorite course to play.
Obviously the one time playing it does not make it on my regular rotation.

I'll go with the Hideaway but mix it up and say the Dye Course. I just liked that course more than the Clive.

A new one that I recently played is Yocha Dehe in NorCal. It's a casino course, they do a fantastic job with conditions and it's just a cool layout. For the price it is an absolute winner.

I haven't played too many of the exclusive or highly ranked courses, but these are probably my favorites (in no particular order):

Torrey Pines (La Jolla, CA)
Montreux Golf & Country Club (Reno, NV)
The Patriot Golf Club (Tulsa, OK)
The Wilderness Club (Eureka, MT)
Warren Golf Course (South Bend, IN)

Sherwood CC in Brentwood, CA. I put a picture of the famous hazard on the middle of the fairway. In one tournament Tiger and David Duval were battling for the win and DD hit into that hazard, Tiger flew it.

I have never traveled outside my area to play golf, so going off of that I really enjoy Hayfields CC in Hunt Valley, MD. Compared to my normal courses it is just beautiful. The grass is on another level, and the amenities are great. I am fortunate to be friends with a member and brings me along occasionally to play with him.

Thousand Oaks, CA you mean.

I guess the Harvester in Iowa. It's a very nice course, interesting layout on every hole. And I actually play it maybe once per year.

I think that is still listed as best course in the state and top 50 in the nation. Cool place

Tarten Fields in Dublin, Ohio for me. One day I would love to add Hideaway to that list!

Royal County Down (not in)
North Berwick (not in)
Old Course St. Andrews (not in)
Secession (in)

I can't name one, the following definitely make the list.

Seqoyah National
Streamsong Blue
Mountain Lake

I hope to play some of the courses others have mentioned but my best course list is pretty small.

Rum Pointe GC
Tobacco Road
