Follow along all weekend long as the participants arrive, play and celebrate the Budget Golf Championship.
Wow, just wow.
Congrats to Team Brady for the win, I did not follow along in real time thanks to work getting in the way.
Even with a skim read, catching up on this event took me the best of 4 days, not changing where I read so I didn’t lose my page.
What an event, what a location and I can’t imagine how much fun (& tacos) were had by all.
Looking forward to the Nitron review to see who gets their return trip.
Great work everyone!
Just spent my gift card at Budget Golf. I have a larger Theragun so have some of the attachments already. I need 2 attachments to take care of these calves. :ROFLMAO: The wedge attachment looks like a whole different type of torture.

Some examples of pins that made for some interesting decisions:
The first one is number 3. It’s not an especially long hole but with the pin near the edge of the green, it wasn’t one that most would fire

Below is number 3. Pin was right on the edge of the slope. Go long and you are going off the green.

Last one is the par 3 7th. It was playing about 215.

The last picture there of the par 3 7th. They left the flag there for the 2 days and that was cruel. :ROFLMAO: That is an example of a par 3 that I am fine with a higher handicap getting a pop on (thread creep).

The battery life is good on the Theragun, but I’m not 100% convinced it has enough power to make it through both calves before needing a recharge.

I honestly think they moved the cup closer to the edge on the second day.
Finally caught up. Congrats to Team Tom Brady! Awesome this event is coming back and one lucky participant gets to go back! Also thanks to all those that were in this event for bringing us along for the ride.

Just a few words to express my appreciation for the awesome experience of the 2022 Budget Championship.
KUDOS to @JB and @GolferGal your investment of time, planning and energy made this a wonderful 3 days for me and the rest of the group.
PAMPERED I was pampered beyond my expectations during the event. The staff at Dormie was friendly, always helpful and responded to my every request. The Cottage (the word cottage doesn’t do it justice) was pristine with every imaginable amenity.
BLESSED The trophy, prizes & gifts are far more than I expected. My paltry swing is probably not worthy of a new driver but I will make every effort to be a proud THP’r whenever I use it. Thank you Budget Golf, Bagboy, Theragun and all the sponsors who blessed us with so many wonderful gifts. I really look forward to using the Nitro. I’m putting my SM Micro for sale on eBay.
FORTUNATE Being paired with jFox and the shamble format was most fortunate for me. On the second day there were 3 par 4s that I could not carry the hazard. The guys we played with will attest to the shortness of my drives. However when I did carry any trouble I was always in the fairway giving jFox the chance to blast away. Thanks partner, without you my short game would have been worthless. I’ll bet you were a bit concerned when you found out you were playing with a short, fat, 74 yr.old 😉
ENRICHED I am grateful for the friendships made, I am enriched by getting to know y’all. I will admit to being a bit uncomfortable playing Cards Against Humanity but did get to have a few laughs with you. I sincerely hope I get the chance to play with you guys at some time in the future.

No, its like 85 out here.
Tried to get this out sooner but I came back home Saturday evening to a level 3 evacuation of my home from a fire and just got back into my house last night. Funny how I told everyone about the rain I have in OR but come home to a fire.
What an amazing experience! Words can’t describe my gratitude towards @JB and @GolferGal for hosting such an incredible event.
Thank you the whole team at Budget and Bagboy for all the great swag and contributing to this event.
This last week will be one to remember for the rest of my life. The courses were incredible and the people from the forum were even better. With this being my first event with the THP and being a newer member I wasn’t sure how it would go or who I would “click” with but I can honestly say I would golf and get together with each and every one of you guys. If anyone is ever in OR and wanting to play or need some good spots don’t hesitate to reach out.
@Steve2100 It was a pleasure being your partner and thank you for taking the time of you day to take me to lunch and through your streets of Chicago.
@jfox789, @Datkison, @FranTheMan, @Jeff Spicoli, @echico, @Afizzle2100, @BigDill It was great to play those pre rounds with you, besides you guys taking all my money on those skins matches, LOL
Also the post rounds at Dormie with @Golfers Anonymous, @BigDill, & @Afizzle2100 were a blast to just kick back and have some fun on the course.
All I can say is I feel very fortunate to of had this opportunity and to have met such great people while on this trip!
Lastly thank you to the THP community.. Without you guys making this the best forum, we wouldn’t have these opportunity’s for events like this. I will forever be grateful!!

It was great to meet you as well and I wish I could of seen you play a little more. Many times I was on the green ahead of you and a ball would be rolling up to about 40-60 yards from the green off your tee shot. What an amazing swing!

I was lucky to be on the other side of the road and the crews worked fast. It was just a little over 130 aces burned but everyone was out safely and all the farm animals were saved. Not many good courses in Salem but my Club course is very nice and a few on the Oregon coast. Definitely let me know and lets link up
