At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. Who wants to test the brand new Rapsodo MLM2PRO Personal Launch Monitor?
Rapsodo MLM2PRO
Earlier this year, Rapsodo released the MLM2PRO personal launch monitor and if you missed our preview breaking it all down, that can be found here. There is also a forum thread with tons of thoughts from golfers and this will be where your reviews go if selected to be one of our testers. You can find that here.
Criteria
We will select a group of Five THPers to test the Rapsodo MLM2PRO Personal Launch Monitor.
You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
You will need to have space in your home/garage for this to function for the purpose of these reviews. You will be reviewing the Rapsodo MLM2PRO for 90 days and then it is yours to keep.
How to Signup
Comment below and answer these 3 questions.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
We will announce the testers next week on the THP Forum. If you want to learn more about the Rapsodo MLM2PRO or any of their products, check out their website at www.rapsodo.com.
No I don’t have one.
I have space in my garage and or my backyard.
I love that regular people will be reviewing it so that we can get a daily update on how it is working for the normal golfers out there instead of all the pro data. We need to see guys with similar handicaps improving their game with this.
1) No, I don’t currently own a launch monitor. Although I do have experience with the Garmin R10.
2) I have room in my living room, my garage and in my backyard.
3) I like the concept behind the 240fps contact camera as this would allow users to see which areas of their swing need to be addressed. I.e. coming down on the ball, across, hands too closed or opened. I also like the idea behind the specially marked balls that allow for extra ball trajectory analytics.
Would love to see how this would change my golf game over an extended period.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
Yes, I own the first gen rapsodo MLM
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
I have a net and mat that I use year round in my garage, backyard, and back deck weather dependent. I also bring the MLM to the course and driving range regularly
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
Would love to test the new gen MLM2. I attempted to pre order the over the winter but they sold out fast! I have a lot of experience with rapsodo’s original MLM the last 3+ years and it would be really cool to compare the two. The new tech with the dot matrix on the collaboration callaway golf balls that give advanced metrics and ball spin rate data was especially impressive when comparing the new features. And with the second camera that gives advanced metrics as well. Very cool tech!
1). I currently use SkyTrak for my launch monitor
2) This would be installed in my home simulator along with my SkyTrak to compare data.
3) I am interested in the contact point camera to monitor impact position and help improve on ball striking.
1) I have a Bushnell Launch Pro
2) I have a sim set up in my garage outfitted with a projector, impact screen, computer, and hitting mat.
3) I’m interested in the review capability with the built in camera as well as the sim features.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior? no
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)? garage or outside if I can’t swing driver in the garage
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? the metrics that are actually measured, the dual camera, and impact vision
I do not have a launch monitor.
I would use this outside.
I’m super excited about this launch monitor given its accuracy and dual camera. It would be great to free up my phone for a front view and the impact view is great! Man, I would love to get to try this out!
Yes, garmin r10
It will be in my garage
Things that stand out are the camera, balls, and that you want the regular golf nut like me to test the product and give their feedback. I have heard a lot of reviews from the experts but l haven’t heard much in the way of normal people. Also I want to put this thing head to head with the r10 which I have been really impressed with.
Yes I have the original Rapsodo MLM.
Garage and basement.
Can’t wait to see the 360 coverage! That alone will help me learn and see the flaws in my swing so I can correct them and become a better golfer!!!!
1) I have a very old p3pro that I haven’t used in a long while.
2) I have a net outside where I hit balls almost daily. It’s a good spot to set this up easily.
3) I’m really interested in testing the accuracy of this device – especially with wedges. I’d also love to see how the multiple sensors pick up draws and fades and I’m curious to see how others feel about their numbers.

Thank you for the opportunity. I’m unsure I qualify since my uses will usually be outdoors but tossing my entry in just incase.
1. Do you currently own a launch monitor? Yes, a Garmin Approach R10 that I use multiple times most weeks.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)? My easily erected backyard setup (pic below) features a premium 5’x5′ mat, a suspended 16’x12′ golf net and a stable level hitting platform with brackets to prevent mat slippage. Most of my Callaway RPT ball testing would be out in the yard. I’ll also use the Rapsodo at a covered driving range. It uses real balls and many are newish premium tour balls. My range also has 2 indoor SIM bays which I have free access to when not booked. This will permit me to accomplish some indoor testing with the RPT balls.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? I’m most interested in the impact vision camera. My hope is it might be extremely valuable as I work on tweaks and changes to my setup and delivery. Second is that I’d be able to parlay my expectation of better spin accuracy into knowledge needed to make significant strides in my journey to improve.
(apologies for early pic- my lawn looks so ugly until grass starts growing)

Quoting my old entry post to insure decision makers see my EDIT to withdraw from consideration. Thanks.
1. No, I do not own a launch monitor, but I’ve been researching them.
2. This will be going in my garage where I plan to build my simulator.
3. I like the dual cameras plus radar and the fact you can also join your phone’s camera to the system too for a front view of your swing as well. Of course the ability to get accurate spin is critical indoors.
1. I do not have a launch monitor but I have been looking at them fro awhile now.
2. I have plenty of space in my garage and backyard.
3. What stood out to me is that regular people are going to be testing and reviewing the product and of course being able to keep the monitor afterwards.
Great opportunity for some people. The first rapsodo didn’t work in my space at work, but I am interested in how this new version does. Not entering the contest because I don’t have a great space at home, but can’t wait to see more reviews
I just bought the mobile Rapsodo
I have room on my side yard with a net set up.
I like how the reviews will be normal golfers giving their opinion on how well the monitor works.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
Yes, I own the first gen rapsodo MLM
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
I have a net and mat that I use year round in my garage. I also bring the MLM to the course and driving range regularly

I do not own a launch monitor. Can never make a final decision with all the options on the market.
I have room in my garage during the winter and plan on outside use when weather permitting.
The features that stand out to me are the ability to be able to get so much more data than other monitors and the impact Vision does sound very helpful
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
Yes. I have a Garmin R10 hooked up to an Alienware M17 running GSPro software, and webcam based putting.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
Garage. I will just swap it into my current simulator setup.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
Cameras and it can be used for putting.
1. Do you currently own a launch monitor?
Yes, a PRGRv2
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
My back yard “range,” where I both hit balls into the woods and into a net
and my nearby course, where I’d use it on their practice range.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
Over what I’ve been considering, a Garmin R10: The wide-angle Shot Vision camera, the 240 FPS and high-speed shutter impact capture camera. Plus Rapsodo Range, and, possibly, someday, Rapsodo Swing Vision.
I would really like to test this unit and provide feedback, I am willing to answer any questions and do the required testing that is needed.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
Yes, I have a Garmin R10.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
I have an indoor garage area, it is setup for the Garmin and has an impact screen, hitting mat, and enough space for 10 ft to screen and 8ft to device to provide adequate information on the Doppler radar system.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
The main feature I really want to see is the 240fps impact camera, the Garmin does not have anything like this and it sounds intriguing.
I am new to the forum as I saw questioned in the post, obviously I signed up because this was an interest to me, I found this through a notification on my phone. Now that I am signed up I am glad to be part of this golfing community and look forward to contributing in the future.
If selected, I would like to test this unit and also compare it to the Garmin r10 with rct Titleist balls, as I am pretty sure a ton of people are wanting to know comparisons on these 2 units since they are comparably priced.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
I bought an Optishot once and HATED IT. I’ve been waiting for something to come out that was reasonably priced.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
I have a hitting bay set up in my garage.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
The 2 camera system being ably to measure ball speed and spin, and the fact that it works with android.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
– I used to, I am now in the market for new and upcoming launch monitors.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
– I have a bitting bay in a designated room in my house. The device will work perfectly in the setup.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
– the camera system and determining the accuracy are the most interesting points for me. I have spent a lot of time on versions simulators systems and am curious how this one will compare (especially considering the price point)
1. No, currently in the market for one, been doing a lot of research for monitors vs simulators.
2.. Garage – driver/woods, Basement-Irons, patio when the weather is nice out. Take to driving range to fully test out.
3. Will be interested in seeing how it compares to Trackview and TopViewer from my local driving ranges to see if I am getting similar results.

1. Don’t have anything currently.
2. I have a pretty good backyard setup with a net and I hit right off my artificial grass.
3. The dual angle display – having those both at the same time with the camera inside the Rapsodo will save me sooooooo much time. I very rarely swap my cell phone to face on, and I should, I’m just too lazy.
If I only had the room,,,,This would be beuno,,,,,
1) I currently have a SkyTrak and have been using regularly for a couple years (for both practice and simulation)
2) I will use it in both my garage and backyard, depending on weather.
3) I’m interested in its ability to show face-on and down-the-line views of one swing, while providing advanced data and an image of what’s happening with the clubhead at impact. Matching a ball outcome to a swing in real time is invaluable.
these 3 questions.
1. Do you currently own a launch montior? No, but the local driving range has a trackman system to get some information.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
I have a large section of open floor plan living room 15×30 tricked out with a net and putting green. It would reside there.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The $199 annual subscription seemed fair. Radar and 2 cameras makes me believe the unit might be fun and produce valid data.
Man I wish our house plans would have gone to fruition, I would’ve been all over this. A great chance for the lucky ones.
I would love to be part of this, but I just don’t meet the requirements..
Awesome opportunity, good luck all. I just don’t have the room.

1: Just ordered a Skytrak
2: will set up in my backyard to hit from a mat on my patio into a net
3: I’m interested in the combo of Doppler and cameras to aid accuracy
I have been away from playing for a decade. I just got new clubs and started playing again and obviously need game improvement. I’ve been researching setting up a home range/simulator so I can practice as much as possible while getting accurate feedback from a launch monitor. My home has 8’ ceilings so I’m limited to outdoors with a net for now.
I researched the Garmin R10, Rapsodo MLM2Pro, and original Skytrak extensively and ended up purchasing a certified preowned Skytrak based on the reliability record and mature software ecosystem. I would love to participate and could offer comparisons between the Rapsodo and the Skytrak and insights into how each perform outdoors with a hitting net. I do have room for either/both in my setup.
I am a new member of the forum but have been active in forums for other interests for many years including home theater and home racing simulators. I live in an area with perfect summer weather (70 is a warm day here) so I could evaluate and comment on a daily basis.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
1. Yes, I own the latest version of th Rapsodo MLM.
2. I have a setup in my enclosed carport along will use both my carport and backyard with a net.
3. I look forward to testing the pro and compare the spin data, video and other improvements to the current MLM.
1. Yes, I currently use the Garmin R10 on the range and in my home simulator.
2. This will go in my garage simulator so that I can compare against the R10.
3. I am really excited for the camera angles and being able to see ball spin.
1. Not yet but looks enticing.
2. This will go outside, side of garage possibly set up on the range down the road. Maybe others and become a salesman for the company.
3. The idea of self analysis in a preferred method and the idea of being a product evaluator.
Testers announced.

No, but have access to both a Trackman and GC Quad.
This will go in my garage hitting bay
I am interested in the impact vision with the Callaway balls for very detailed metrics. Also interested in the integration for both address and down the line views for complete swing analysis.
1. Yes, I own the Garmin R10 approach.
2. I intent to use this the same way I use the Garmin R10. I have a net / mat set up in my backyard with more than the recommended distances in front of and behind the launch monitor. I also plan to use this at the driving range approximately twice a week.
3. Love the idea of the wide-angle shot vision camera recording my swing from behind and having the option to set up a phone for the front on angle for the ‘rapsodo swing vision’. I’m interested to see how well the MLM2PRO works with Android phones/tablets and most interested in seeing how much more accurate it is against the Garmin R10 approach. Lastly I’m excited for the impact vision camera to help me truly dial in my distance numbers, especially with high spinning wedge shots!!
1. Skytrak
2. Garage, full simulator set up
3. The camera recording functionality. I have recently been looking at camera systems for this need.

Testers were announced this morning, be on the lookout for the testing thread with feedback and chime in with any questions you may have for the testers!
I currently don’t have a shot monitor. I have a spot for this in my garage. I like the options of using my phone and iPad, the different options it provides for backdrops, add all add the affordability of it.
I do not currently own a launch monitor
I would install it in my garage…
I like the camera and the impact vision I think that could really help with my game
No I don’t have one,
It will be in the spare den and I like that your asking us to review and we get to keep it
1. Do you currently own a launch montior?
– I do not currently own a launch monitor.
2. Where will this go in your home (garage, spare room, etc)?
– In my home I would use this in the garage and in the backyard, I would also plan on taking it to the driving range to simulate pre round practice.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
– I believe the most stand out features of the MLM Pro 2 are it’s ability to operate on any device rather than just IOS devices as well as it’s capability to capture shot data and record your swing simultaneously. What an awesome tool to be able to see exactly what movements you made to produce a specific shot and then also to have accurate data to further understand the golf shot.

Testers were already announced for this one.
New forum testing is up and running for a different product.
1.. I own the Garmin launch monitor.
2. In my Harare I have plenty of room and where I use Garmin.
3. I am very curious on a couple of things. First, the dual video is really cool and unique. Secondly, the courses that are available is awesome! Would love to try them. It was a competitive advantage for Garmin, but if rapsodo can integrate that well enough, it’s a huge differentiator from not just Garmin, but also is a product priced way better than much more expensive products, yet capable of the really fun aspects of simulators.
So, TV has been hung/installed, I need to learn how to get the data from teh devices to the TV (it’s not a smart TV), but I did get a roku for it. A/C unit ordered, getting the SIM/Range space ready and hope to hit balls in there this weekend in preparation.

This is my plan. Hoping to read up learn a few things and minimize glitches.
Ive already done a pretty in-depth test of this in garage, in courses sim vs gc hawk, on range against GC quad etc.
I’d be happy to provide data/details, etc…I’ve already got one but hey if you want another review I’d be happy to write one up
