Just wondering what you guys class as a Low, Mid and High handicap?

Low; Scratch to 9
Mid; 10 to 18
High; 18 and up

dang, i have always thought of low scratch to 5 and mid like 6-15 and 16+ high. guess i was wrong lol

Agreed

I also agree

Scratch - 7 low
8 - 15 mid
16 plus high

I think this may be a relative thing. I was thinking low was 2 or better and middle being something like 3-11. It probably depends on the club, it is probably lower at some clubs and higher at others.

Generic comment of agreement

Most of the books and magazines that I read define high handicappers as bogey+ golfers. If a 10 handicap is the worst golfer in your circle of friends, that's great. But it doesn't make him a high handicapper outside that bubble. A 10 hcp is a good bit better than the average weekend Joe.

Low - What I'll never see on my scorecard
Mid- What I'd like to see on my scorecard
High- What I actually see on my scorecard.

That is perfect!

Hoosier got it right IMO. If you shoot better than bogey on the majority of the holes, you are low. If you bogey the majority of the holes, you are mid. Anything higher than this would fall under high handicap.

I'm with Hoosier too. I think that sums it up perfectly for me.

**Edit** Sorry CB, I broke the quote streak LOL
